Well, news of ME:A's stories being more casual could qualify as a looming disaster if you ask me. Doesn't Bioware realize that games like Elder Scrolls, Fallout, and the Witcher sell well because they are deep, engaging RPG's? Hell, even Fable died because it went more casual instead of RPG for 2 and 3.
Sony said they favor traditional console cycles? What's the Pro then? It's certainly not traditional. They probably mean that PS5 won't play PS4 or Pro games. That's their tradition now.

You just described the benefit of UWP to a tee. Develop once, sell on multiple devices. It's just business.

I'll just say this: MS keeps individual studios making one franchise each. That's weird enough, but Activision has 3 studios all working on COD? THAT'S ridiculous.
UWP allows developers an easy way to get games running on the devices they choose to support. This means that devs who might not have had the resources to make a multi-platform release can now choose to do so with minimal effort. More PC/tablet/mobile games should come to Xbox as a console exclusive because of UWP.
I think they should definitely be regulated in some way though. Thankfully MS reviews software set to release on the Xbox.
Yeah, who would want to play the best games of last generation they missed out on without having to buy an old console to do it? What a horrible service to get for free. Funny how popular opinion here is that BC doesn't matter, but GTA4 went from the mid 6000's to 80 something on the charts at Amazon which is a measley 8000% increase. The concern should come from the fact that many PC exclusives could easily port over to XB1 now but would still require substantial effort to port over to PS4. You and the other 🐴 below should really look at the bigger picture.
They made it for UWP. The xbox got it because of Win10/DX12 requiring minimal effort to port games over.
So the XB1 is MS' best selling console yet people still consider it to be a failure? Don't forget people are waiting for Scorpio to arrive too!
