MrBojingles - with MW2 the BR drive just didn't stop and there was often loud bangs as the head hit the limit of travel. Activision said it was due to HQ texture streaming. At the time there were huge threads on Playstation forums and COD about the number of failures as well as the media.

They're just pushing games as they don't know how else to sell you the idea you need more CPU / GPU power.
I think a better interpretation is that it will now be on par with the 360 as in previous attempts the constant texture loading would knock out PS3 Blu-rays or IQ would be lower.
It was MW2 that knocked out lots of PS3 Blu-Rays due to the constant texture loading - IQ was better but at a heavy cost to many users.
I believe the HQ textures ended up being turned off through a patch - too late for my 40Gb Fat though!
Got no space for a top loader or space for the cover to slide too - in use it would seem to require more space than previous models rather than less.
I suspect the value of the 12GB flash version will depend on whether a)the flash memory offers improved data transfer speeds b)it's not switched out when adding the HDD c) the dedicated HDD turns out to be just an add-on frame for a normal 2.5"HDD
Well put! you only have to browse the replies to see that ppl's view of "best graphics" is quite variable.
The game needs a proper track pack expansion and new vehicles like lorries to spice up some fun racing.
There also needs to be a host setting to control fuel usage drain and tyre wear as a percentage of laps so forcing pit stops.

It's been a generation of graphics effects over gameplay and cut backs on quantity to hit us for DLC
I really liked the unsaturated colours of R1, they should have kept that as it's theme.
R2 multiplayer felt too linear and it took far too long to kill anything.
R3 is excellent, the multiplayer has a great feel to it. The field of vision is spot on, graphics are sharp and crisp and the maps are fun with plenty of routes. As for it being clone of Halo, I just don't see it, it has much closer ties to Enemy Territory Quake Wars.
Selling unfinished, little tested games is the norm these days. I enjoy Battlefield 3 but 3 months to fix the headset audio then another 3 to (nearly) fix controller lag is just ridiculous.
It's quite sad but it seems this will only get worse unless we have a specific law that entitled the software purchaser a full refund anytime within 6 months should the software still not function as intended - and it should be directly against the publisher rather than the poor dealer...
Doesn't really matter how much power it may or may not have as the image quality is immediately let down just because it's having to be upsampled from 720p (ish) to 1080p.
Also a simple hint to the lack of power is that it can't use proper x4 anti aliasing with 90% of games. Warhawk has been one of the few and it really shows what a difference it makes.

I want my next BF game to be using a PS4 so hopefully get a PC graphics quality game and without all the game content cuts.
Only go to the cinema using Orange 2 for 1 Wednesday ticket deal. Don't buy DVD/Blu-ray movies any more, don't buy those impulse game purchases any more and often skip on overpriced expansion map packs opting to use the cash towards a new game.
The entertainment industry has been so keen to find ways to get more out of me for less content and quality that it's resulted in me spending less overall as I've adjusted my buying patterns.

Well I call this french CEO a liar and marketing con artist.
Only a few months ago we saw EA showing they make more profit on the PC market than the "pirate free" PS3 market and similar figures to the 360 market.
If publishers are going to call each one of us a thief then they need to back it up with facts. Maybe he could elaborate how piracy works via Steam etc OR is he trying to be clever with figures and use the copying in China/ India as a basis...
