Even if it was a BF3 close variant at least this time it will likely be from the PC version so more online players, much larger maps and far better graphics.
I know the BF3 PS3 version is popular but it's still total crap when compared to the PC version.
Unfortunately, and this isn't just regarding EA, but while many will complain about either low quality, poor content, overpriced, rip-off expansions and micro-transactions etc etc those same ppl have absolutely no backbone at all when it comes to just not purchasing and standing their ground.
The "me must have it" completely takes over and companies like EA know this so why should their care what those gamers say.
With the small number of PS3 gamers playing (purchasing?) the last map pack I think it might be an idea to re-evaluate their pricing.
Maybe add some more game modes too!
You know the writer doesn't have a clue and lacks real gaming experience with "10. Wake Island - Battlefield Series"
Is he totally NUTS!! this was one of the smaller BF maps.
Exclusive pre-order DLC that'll be in the Premium pack.... been there done that!
I'll pre-order if it's cheaper otherwise I'm happy to wait till it's released and pick up an online deal.
My PC has a LG x16 Blu-ray R/W - likely not the fastest.
I couldn't imagine it not being aimed at the next gen consoles. Now if it were announced to not be on current gen I wouldn't be that surprised.
My only concern with it being aimed at current and next gen is if closer to launch it turns out lots of features were missing with DICE/EA saying it's because the game had to work on current gen consoles.
I'd like to know if I get another PSN annual subscription now will it continue to be usable when I upgrade to PS4.
Not expecting PS3 games to work or anything but I don't want to have to shell out for a new "just for PS4" subscription.
So far all my new PS3 games have been under £30.00
Not sure why ppl think they should suddenly pay more just because the game has a PS4 label. While the games will/should be always better than the PS3 could offer it won't be anything new to PC gamers and they pay less not more for the better quality!
I'd certainly buy it for my iPad as long as it was priced in line with other iPad games (and not EA's joke pricing).
Referring to using a mobile phone connection as a reference that always on is ok probably the best example of why always on is not ok.
How many times have you lost the signal even in major populated areas let a lone in rural spots.
Here's the thing it should be our choice as to whether we want things always on - MS dictating terms (yet again) does not create customer loyalty rather resentment
It is as long as PSN is not just for PS3/Vita and it turns out we have to pay again for a PS4 service.
It'll keep the media happy with the endless graphics compare shots and video's :)
I agree but had also hoped for quad layer support as 50GB is going to be like using DVD's for current consoles.
If 1 CoD map pack for the PS3 is around 8-10gb it's easy to envisage that size jumping to 20-30gb for the PS4. Uncharted 3 download is compressed to 43.5GB - UC4 would likely double that.
I remember when that was being discussed back at Atari - for 8bit games and cartridges!!
I'd prefer it if they went back to the original BF cycle and offered a few full blown expansions.
Probably start off ok then they'll just splat SINGSTAR over the interface.
I had expected HOME to be the main interface which wouldn't be too bad if all the loading were removed.
I remember sticking in a 3DFX card for the 1st time (1996) - a real super wow time that transformed my gaming then ATI's R300 GPU was released in 2002 and we didn't have to put up with all those jaggies!
I could foresee a GT5 enhancement to add support for a PS4 though such removing the slow HDD menu loading etc.
I'm still using a 8800GTS512 so an upgrade wouldn't be a bad idea :)
(OK it's getting on but I still get much better results than my PS3)
