You get plenty of crappy no matter what the price but there's also been plenty of excellent games & apps too.
I'd rather keep IOS game prices as they are rather than encouraging the big publishers to pump them up as there's only 1 loser in this.
oh this game is free on PS3 :)
$19.99 <--- lol I don't think they quite get the going rate for IOS games!!
I'll bite after the $19 is dropped :)
Ps3 is pretty dead too.
Graphically it's a step worse than Grid 1 - sure the cars are very nice but when racing you get a nice shiny bonnet and very low texture scenery - hard to make out when the road changes direction on some tracks.
The game modes are far too restrictive and the tier cars selections are not comparable - a simple solution would have been to have an option to just select 1 car for some competitive racing.
Truefeel actually just...
I'm still looking at PS4 or PC.
If MS can turn all their DRM off they can just as quickly turn it all on again but then I'll be stuck with an expensive black door stop.
lol 10% Thanks but I'll wait till they're properly priced between £25.00 - £39.00
I can't comment on the percentage that use their 360 offline but I do remember being quite shocked when Epic said that approximately 50% of the PC Unreal Tournament players only played it offline and I'd always considered it almost an online only game!
I don't think they're listening or they would have asked about Win 8, their phone OS too.
It seems its the "only we KNOW best" and the rest of us are expected to heel into line.
Just fortunate there's a few other choices out there as I really enjoy my gaming periods.
I think offering a free cut down version of DriveClub is just a way to ease the acceptance of the future of online gaming being yet another fixed cost (the old carrot trick).
It's a small price for Sony to pay if then everyone is then happy to pay every month for the life of the PS4.
Personally I feel it should have been a tiered service with p2p gaming free and subscription for a premium service with dedicated servers and VOIP etc.
Anybody who has upgrade...
Maybe you should consider stepping back and not looking at it from a fan based culture.
The simple fact is that the gaming industry isn't about thinking of you getting the best value and quality that can be offered rather how to maximize profits at any cost and finding your breaking point when you say NO - enough is enough.
Right now MS is in the firing line as they probably thought they controlled the gaming industry and 360 owner / fans would take all the crap ...
Unfortunately it's also proving extremely uncompetitive way to purchase with regards consoles - not just for new full titles but also old titles and particularly old(3yr +) DLC which if supplied via the retail market would be very cheap. The problem is there's no incentive for the publishers to act competitively (much like Gas/Electric etc in UK).
In the end I feel that the real solution lies in segregating software sales so it can only be purchased through the retail chain wh...
Commander mode was great in BF2
PC multiplayer games can be run from home servers and many were before publishers started blocking.
That aside I feel we need to know more about whats being offered when paying. Are we getting proper dedicated servers or is it still the peer to peer.
I also feel that online should have been just split into basic and premium where basic is much as is now on PS3 and premium is dedicated servers, VOIP servers etc. Most will likely opt for premium but at least it...
I use the G700 but used to have the G7 and the one feature I miss is the charging station.
Whether or not it's up to the publishers to use DRM for copy protection that has nothing to do with the X1 blocking the use of 2nd hand games.
The PS4 does not block 2nd hand games.
Really enjoyed the BC singleplayer, brilliant characters.
I have the PS3 version which took over 6 months to fix the comms (squads that can't talk don't work well) and controller lag - this didn't seem to effect everyone but for some of use it was close to a half second delay which is huge in a fps game.
But yeah I'll be likely getting BF4 :)
The difference is PC digital copies can be purchased from retailers with discounts i.e. STEAM Grid 2 - £26.00, retailer Steam code £18.00
At least with Steam you can buy the digital versions cheaper via retailers so it's closer to buying the physical version.
With console digital versions it's seems to be being used as an excuse to get full retail price out of everyone - the typical greed effect of having monopoly.
I doubt very much we'd all be paying some of the ridiculous pricers for DLC if we could buy it from retailers.
Right now any number of ppl can play the game that's running on your console - you just give them the controller and let them play!
I'd say what's being sneaked in is even further drm in that now, and probably using the camera etc, they have found a way to lock this down but leaving it flexible enough for today by allowing 10 ppl. I don't doubt it won't be too long when this figure gets smaller and smaller and then there will be the exclusive DLC etc that&...
It's not just EA, Activision's profits are only 30% from consoles with the bulk from PC's (of that a fair chunk is from WoW).
I'm looking forward to the new space epic "Star Citizen" by Chris Roberts (Wing Commander/Privateer).
