But IMO to help that, (If indeed you want to be helped), is only by games that you really have an interest in.
When games are described as "innovative", "Fresh", "off the beaten path", then you might want to look into playing it.
I just got Demon's Souls via Amazon yesterday. It was the first game of 2009 I purchased. I tell you, its pretty bad ass.

I've been playing now for a few hours...Here are some thoughts...
They aren't kidding...Its really hard. If you take your time and go slow then you can inch your way forward, but when you get taken about by some dbag with a spear and you want to regain your souls quickly to move on is when you get into trouble. You move to fast..get impatient..and WHAM, the game has got you where it wants you.
The reviewers aren't kidding either when they say its not for everyo...

Most of my deaths have come from me being impatient. You think its easy to stay patient...its not.
Been playing all afternoon. Its freaking awesome. Just take it easy, go slow...and say this mantra, "DON"T DO ANYTHING STUPID!"

Good to see there is no other gaming experience in any other generation or any other platform other than the 360.
Truely, there has been nothing great on the NES, SNES, Playstation 1 & 2, Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast or Xbox. Yup...nothing.

I heard from some reviews that the story is something you have to work for as well.
Its not like you fight hard, then dialog to move the story, then fight hard.
You experience the story through interaction with the world and NPC's that are sprinkled throughout the game.

My only concern is that the reviews are inflated due to the fact if you said you don't like it, then its because you thought it was too hard and thus a puzzy.
I don't think that is the case, but it may add to a few more favorable reviews.
In other words, if this game was easier would it get the same marks?
I went ahead and got the Deluxe edition for the strategy guide. I figure I would just run to the internet anyway, so why do that when the book is faster?
Im definetly ready for this game. Im going to play it next week, then get Uncharted 2. I will play Uncharted 2 when I can't take Demon's Souls anymore for the day.
There really does need to be a membership for those who play and beat this game.
