Those were my favorite parts of the game.
Wasnt there an old school NES game?
Yeah, Bible Adventures...
Then you have Demon's Souls (which they kind of touched on)
It takes away the buttom smashing element of many Action RPG's. It requires you to think.
The less buttons you hit the better you are, and its not because you are more "powerful", its because you thought out your attack.
This game along with Valkeria Chronicles have given me hope that RPGs aren't dying. But I will say they are probably going back to where they came from befor...
Maybe the story wont be a bunch of jibberish?
Winner if you ask me.
Did the same thing.
That game gets in your mind...
Xenogears is excellent, but my fav is Chrono Trigger.
Chrono Trigger and FFVI FTW
Xenogears, Vagrant Story, Secret of Mana in a very VERY close second.
These games mentioned are better than any other RPG that has come out on any console ever.
That being said...I really am digging Demon's Souls...Alot.
Darkeyes: Uncharted 2 is not head over shoulders better than Demon's Souls.
There is something very special about Demon's Souls, assuming of course you are the type of player the game is trying to target.
Its kinda the difference between a huge summer blockbuster and some indy film in an arthouse.
Sure the blockbuster is awesome, but if you are the person that likes the arthouse indy movie, then it holds a very special place.
I've h...
I really liked Valkeria Chronicles as well, but there are too many other worthy developers out there to include SEGA for one game.
Do you think you can actually put it down? Do you think you can say..enough...Im going to leave this boss unbeaten while I play Uncharted?
Its more difficult than you think.
As I said in an earlier post. Even while playing the unadulterated greatness that is Uncharted 2, I can't get my mind out of mother effing Demon's Souls.
DaTruth: I'm with you. I did the exact same thing.
Once I beat a boss that was giving me fits of rage (Maneater), I threw in Uncharted 2.
Uncharted 2 is absolutely 100% an incredible experience. It deserves every praise it gets.
But I still cannot get my mind out of Demon's Souls...
Yeah, its actually interesting and not a bunch of mindless babble.
CadDad: Im the exact same way. About 35 or so hours in.
I had the exact same thought that you did, but I went ahead and bought it anyway. (I mean might as well, not like im not going to buy UC2)
They are like yin and yang. Playing Uncharted 2 im constantly smiling and enjoying the great story and graphics.
Playing Demon's Souls, Im focused and concentrated. Constantly thinking about my moves and stragegy ahead.
I LOVE Unchart...
I've been playing this game for a few hours now. It is absolutely incredible. Everything about it is fantastic. A must have if you own a PS3.
That being said,
I can't get my mind out of Demon's Souls.
And landing the jet in Top Gun.
Battletoads jet ski thingy stange on NES.
End of list/
Demon's Souls really is that good. Pure unadulterated greatness.
depends on how good you are.
Im through 1-1, 1-2, all of 2, and all the way through 3 except for the maneater boss. (Damn thing is beetch to kill)
Im at around 25 or so hours. So Im thinking around 40 for your first play through.
From what I understand though...the game only begins after you beat the first time. For one it gets harder, and two most people take the dark tenancy after that.
There should be a short compound bow from on corpse on top of either the first or second tower.
Happy hunting.
GamerPS360: Dude, Im with ya.
I did; however, get to a sort of stopping place with Demon's Souls (Defeated Maneater whom was giving me hell, and have yet to start world 5), and threw in Uncharted 2.
Uncharted 2 is a incredible experience and a must play and own for any Ps3 owner, but I will be completely honest, by the end of Uncharted 2 and the credits rolled, I was glad to get back to Demon's Souls.
This is not taking away anything from Unchar...
