I've played every US released FF since it was supposed to be their "final" game.
(They named it Final Fantasy because they thought it would be their last game due to the studio not doing too hot)
Even the ones that haven't been met with the same popular acclaim have still been very very good games.
This one will be no different.
Thus, I will be buying FFXIII the day of or the week of.
I still think their masterpiece was FFV...
That is what he is saying.
But as developers, there is some serious money at stake here. To make a living they must produce something that ultimately will pay the mortgage.
He is saying that we as gamers need to support these few original titles that come along every so often to help inspire other developers to take risks.
It may ultimately end up like the movie industry. The big summer blockbusters that have about as much depth as a kiddie poo...
I mean, I can think of a lot more romantic ways to propose marriage, but nonetheless, that was pretty funny.
Dog and Mario win music was EPIC WIN.
You know, I get what he is saying, and I would tend to agree with him.
I do my part.
Flower
LittleBigPlanet
Valkeria Chronicles
Demon's Souls
are all in my library.
If you are a Ps3 owner here is what you do.
1)Buy LittleBigPlanet
2)Get gf to play
3)????
4) Profit
5)????
6)Profit again
Well its good to know they have some people that have known to produce good games on the case.
Am I the only one that really liked FFXII? It was one of my favorites in the series. I didn't like FFX very much.
For me it goes:
FFVI (far and away 1)
FFIX
FFVII/FFXII
FFV/FFVIII
FFX.
Let's just hope the game is good.
Good story, decent (doesn't have to be top) graphics, good music, fun gameplay.
Is it that hard?
Is Square so far removed from their craft that this is a concern? (they are actually)
That made me laugh. Good work
Immersion does not necessarily mean emotional connection with a character.
Im going to see try and scare up some Trine reviews before I spend 20 bucks on it!
frostypants:
"I love Demon's Souls as well...I'd even argue that it has more long term replay value, and may well be the most IMPORTANT game of the year."
Interesting comment. I would agree with this statement with a qualifier.
I agree that it has more replay value.
I would also agree it is a very Important game. It is probably the same as Uncharted 2 in terms of that. Uncharted 2 is a certianly a milestone for gaming...
2Spock:
I couldnt' disagree more.
I played Demon's Souls before Uncharted 2. Picked up Unchareted 2, raced through the campaign, played one game of multiplayer, and threw back in Demon's Souls.
Demon's Souls got into my head like no other game in the last few years.
Uncharted 2 is aweomse. I see why you and many MANY other people would like it more than Demon's Souls, but for those the game was intended it is like herione wrapped i...
This game is coming along at the right time. Im sure its a good game though.
Both comments made me laugh..
Good job guys
The orininality is the success of making a true cinematic experience to appeal to most gamers....Thats where it is a ground breaker.
Ill wait for when the price comes down. 40 would have been a good deal.
Immersion is something that is beginning to be missed nowadays.
When people are claiming that games are almost movies..then they lose that something that makes them games. This is part of the difficulty and Im not saying its easy.
Movies you watch...rarely are you immersed.
Games have an edge in immersion if brilliant developers know how to craft the two together.
It will probably get worse before it gets better.
I recently pla...
Ha, Gotta love Dallas Texas.
Any RPG is going to get a solid look from me, but for the love of gawd can we not have a little more innovation than the typical sci-fi RPG that has seemed to invade most "big" RPGs for the last few years?
Oh and IMO, Demon's Souls is incredibly addicitive. Its my favorite RPG this generation. Even more than Valkeria Chronicles, which is saying alot.
With the right tweaks here and there, and perhaps a story more epic in scope it would be one of the b...
It never ceases to amaze me how much I don't give a flying eff about any First Person Shooter. On any console or PC...ever.
Truely...Amazing.
