Didn't the report say the "removal" of LED lamps? You can't dig what won't be there lol
Well they did have that Zelda Collection on the Gamecube, which you can use on the Wii. It had the original, and it's sequel from the NES, and the two N64 games. The only non handheld one it was missing was the SNES games, but they were selling Link to the Past on GBA at the time, so that's probably why. It had a short retrospective movie on the disc and a demo of Wind Waker too.
Yip, a better example might be that Resident Evil Remake, or Resident Evil 0, those both looked better than anything on the PS2 at the time, and Capcom did say they had to downscale to get Resident Evil 4 running smoothly on the PS2, and the graphics were widely reported among gaming press to be inferior to the Gamecube version. So they are all good examples.
Most people call that kinda setup a PC lol
Not as always, more like as once before. But then again coming from the same guy who said that consoles would be dead in a decade this doesn't mean much. It would be interesting to see how close to PC they can get with their graphics and speed on a console tho. I think too many people expect some kind of graphical miracle which as long as the boundaries are not broken on the PC which said games are made on, it isn't going to happen.
They do need some new IP's they can make a series out of, but at the same time why would they stop a current franchise if it still sells? Ever think the reason they keep making them is reguardless of what people say on message boards, they keep buying the games which in turn leads to a sequel.
Besides that, if they stopped making Zelda or Mario games that would be a sad day in game history, they personify Nintendo, you think of Nintendo and Mario generally is the first th...
As much as I agree with you, the people that brought an xbox for gears or halo, and the people that brought a ps3 for uncharted would disagree. If I get one or not depends on the launch line up, I don't buy a console untill they have a decent amount of good games on them that I personally like. Hence why getting a 3DS is still on hold till it sorts it's stuff out, tho Zelda, Street Fighter and Dead or Alive may be enough to warrant a purchase with Starfox not to far behind.
Try telling that to the trolls over in the Wii U topics, even tho it's been 6 years they think the Wii U will be the same or worse than current gen, then the same people come onto the topics about the next Xbox or Playstation and say what a great leap the difference in 5-8 years will be. It boggles my mind!
The Saturn was out not long after the Playstation, like 3-6 months, and dev's said quite oftern it's 3D wasn't it's strong point but it had tec that was better than what Playstation had, it's duel processors were laughed at back then and made it hard to program for, and yet doing that now is almost standard. Also the Dreamcast was out a year before the Playstation 2, and it's quite well known for having better tech than the Playstation 2, but after the success of the P...
It's amusing you say don't count a company out when they release new tech, and if it has crytek on it that it will be decent and push the boundaries. Over on the Wii U topics people are bashing a new console before they know anything about it beyond the controller, and when it got crytek support people started saying how crytek wasnt important and it would probably be watered down. It's just sad how people change their opinions based on what company announces it.

I'm thinking Nintendo are making sure no one says anything specific or talks about what it can do beyond the controller untill thay are ready, or have finalized it, simple as that. There's nothing to assume either way since there's nothing to go on. Unless you enjoy getting worked up over rumor and by doing so working up the hype around the system, therefore doing Nintendos job for them which is probably what they planned all along. Just a hunch
You can bet if Sony was leading or had passed Microsoft they would be shouting it from the rafters and rubbing it in as much as they could. They would not let a win like that go unnoticed by the gaming press. I would imagine for total sales worldwide the Wii is still in front, followed by 360 then PS3, if things had changed either camp would be making a huge fuss!
No one "confirmed" anything, one developer giving a loose gestimate is not conformation of anything. Plus they didn't say "only" they said around or about, I forget which. Reading into these only trying to score hits through controversial topic posts much?
Every company starts developing as soon as there current console is out, that doesn't mean it's out anytime soon, especially since both company's have been asked numerous times and both have said they will wait a couple more years.
The Zelda footage has been reported to be both realtime due to the ability to move the camera and change the lighting, but yes it was a predetermined sequence of events in the demo, as every tech demo generally is.

Oh for the love of......people believe any bad press twisted report these days if it's about Nintendo don't they. No one, anywhere, has said that it is only at the same tech level or power as current gen. The news article twists it to seem like that, but if you read the actual quotes in the article all they did was tell the reporter that they believed the console was now comparable to the others, does that mean it's not better? No, no it doesn't. A triple whopper is comparable...
Lucky you said 15 years, cause there's been a few that never made it over previously, that has been rectified now, but Final Fantasy 2,3 and 5 never had a worldwide release originally.
What I find amusing about the Sony fans is they forget that if it wasn't for Nintendo turning down Sony all those years ago on their cd based addon the Sony they know and love as far as home consoles goes probably wouldn't exist.
If Nintendo had accepted their proposal and taken their tech on board on their machines then Sony wouldn't have seen reason to go into business against them if they were getting a nice cash in on every Nintendo console sold and the two c...
Yes because all we want or will ever need is better graphics. I'm not at all interested in companies finding new ways to play or come up with new player input. God forbid if they ever come up with true VR that would suck!! Let's just concentrate on graphics and that's all please!! /s
I'd pay more attention to the Epic team and their Unreal tech at this point, and considering they have always shunned Nintendo for the Wii and have been really outspoken about it, and all of a sudden made a deal to bring Unreal tech to the Wii U I'd say there's promise in that. Doom 3 was subpar and if I do end up playing Rage it would be on my PC, so whatever Id or their team members has to say about a home console matters little in my book personally.
And then wait till the Wii U 2, and then wait till the PS5, and then wait till the Xbox1440.
Seriously that is getting old, every "next" console has the potential to be better than the last. The only reason for anyone to "wait" is if they are such a big fan of a specific company that they can't see the potential in any other companies console due to being blinded by loyalty to a company that, lets face it, doesn't give a crap about you beyond the f...
