People always seem to use this "it's a Playstation franchise" or "mostly Playstation" argument. But truth is there's been 4 games on Playstation format (KH, KH II, Re:CoM and BBS), only 3 if you live in European territory's since they missed Re:CoM.

Funny how it's tagged for PS3 and Xbox 360. The chances of those systems running an engine like this are non-existent. Looking at the pics and video, even next gen consoles would probably be running a dumbed down version if it was utilized.

I doubt Naughty Dog will do Uncharted 4 if there even is one. Uncharted 3 wrapped up pretty well. Naughty Dog seems to abandon their IP's to other dev's after 3 games.
It's pretty easy to imagine PS4 and Nextbox games actually, you just have to look at current PC games, that are properly optimized for PC, using all the shaders and AA etc. The next-gen consoles aren't gunna magically look better than that when they build the games on PC's and Macs, and when consoles use cheaper and older tech than current PC tech in order to make it affordable to consumers. It will look amazing as far as console gaming goes, but it won't be anything that hasn...
I have to agree with you. The recent Final Fantasy games don't have the quality and flair the older games in the series did. Even XIII-2, which I admit was better than XIII, was still lacking something.
And don't get me started on Megaman, Capcom cancels both games they had in the works for him, tells his fans not to worry, they haven't forgotten about his anniversary and he's still important to them, they have plans. Then they go and announce a cross over gam...
It does look like a blast to play, if I do end up getting a Vita at some stage this will be on my hit list. But the Vita doesn't have enough games I'm interested in playing or I don't already have/will have on the PS3 to warrant paying the price Sony want for it here in New Zealand sadly.

There's actually a fan made patch that restores lost music and movies that were missing from the original release, mainly affecting the original C&C and Red Alert. It also includes tweaks that let all the games run on Vista and 7. I can play all of them on my 64bit Windows 7. I'm pretty sure the Vista/7 compatability was in the last official patch for the game too that came out before the fan one.

Big Daddy isn't a Classic Playstayion icon. Nor is he even from a Playstation exclusive series, so them saying the characters will stem from Sony brands is already moot. Even so, using new Dante when the game isn't even out yet does seem a bit odd, especially since he's not as recognizable as the original Dante.
Crash and Spyro should be since they started life as Playstation exclusives. But Gex was always multiplatform from day 1, dunno if he can be called a Sony great when he was never exclusive to Sony at any point. Great game tho, good memories.
I'd rather they did a new Legacy of Kain game to the same quality as they treated HR with before pumping out another Deus Ex game. It's nice to have a little variety in releases rather than just pumping out a sequel straight away because a game was well received. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see another, just I'd also like to see what they can do with some of the other Eidos properties they got in the buyout.
I don't see what was so bad about Powered Up and Maverick Hunter. They were both fun remakes, would have loved to have seen them remake the 2nd games of each series in the same vein. Their sales may not have started out stellar but they have hit platinum in each country by now haven't they?
Sega too, Mickey Mania or Mickey's Wild Adventure as it came to be known when they ported it on the Playstation was originally on the Mega Drive (Genesis). From memory that was a Sony Studios game. I'm sure there's other examples too.
Technically speaking yes, yes they were. Game and support wise is a different story, then again games being better than other games is purely personal preference, so is choice of system really. Like I could say there were some Gamecube games that were much better than some of the PS2 libarary, but someone else may think the Xbox had better games.

Insomniac isn't owned by Sony so Dr. Nefarious wouldn't be 1st party. But it would be cool to have him in there along with Ratchet. Tho multiple characters from the same game would take away slots that could be filled by other characters from other series.

People lack common sense sometimes. Nintendo is using current (by console standard) tech this time, it isn't another Wii.
