It isn't the GBA version. Its the PS2 version of Chain of Memories. Considering people have been complaining that they want the entire story in one place, it would be silly for them to go skipping games. The story of Chain of Memories helps understanding the events in KH2 a lot and there are quite a few major plot points in Chain of Memories story. Considering the God of War Collection was split in two and people lapped it up i don't see the issue here. You get two games that were PS2...
Maybe because people have let other companies get away with it and still buy these "Collections" in large numbers. So Square probably thinks why not. We didn't get all the Metal Gears in that "Collection", we didn't get all the Silent Hills in that "Collection" either. The God of War Collection was split in two. Hell even the Boudokai "Collection" is missing a game. In fact, besides the ICO and Shadow Collection i can't think of a single HD ...
I doubt it will have 3D as it is still a very recent title. My guess would be KH2 Final Mix, KH BBS Final Mix and the cutscenes from KH Re:Coded in HD. So it is set up just like this release.
As a writer you would think he would do his research a bit better. Duke Forever was 90% 3D Realms work, Gearbox just rescued it from the scrap heap when they brought the franchise. They patched the whole thing together as best they could and released it. Technically it's mostly not even their game.
In saying that tho Duke has always been over the top. Even the original DOS based games had that kinda flair to them. Take that away and it isn't Duke. I think this guy ne...
Sonic Generations and Sonic Colours would like a word. They were both brilliant and highly praised recent Sonic games. Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing was also very well received.
I just hope that Sega can keep him on the current upward trend.
I realize your trolling for bites, but I think you will find the PC version will be the best version. Gearbox has been pretty damn good with its graphics options for PC users.
This is but a dream currently, parts of America and Japan, parts of Europe may be ready for this. But many areas and whole country's are not. While ISP's in those areas are still enforcing download caps as low as 40gig a month, or charging upload as download, or not having higher connection speeds above 7mb/s etc and still charging premium rates, there will never be worldwide appeal for total digital distribution.
If you want to lose a good deal of support and potenti...
Miku belongs to Crypton Future Media, and the games are produced by Sega under strict licenses. The character has no affiliation to any console or console company, wouldn't make sense to have her as a mascot for a company that doesn't own her likeness or any rights to her at all >.<
They were doing that, tho it was only going to be on sale in Korea. But Megaman Online as is was titled so far, got the axe along with the other Megaman projects as of late. It was pretty far along too and had some wicked animated trailers.
I would LOVE to see something like that, Europe and other PAL areas didn't even get the last collections they had on the Gamecube/PS2, and the handheld collection they had in line for the GBA got canceled.
They should do some sort of collection with all the older games, a history hall type deal, character bios, artwork, maybe even have some old tv ad's or other extra junk thrown in. Like a Sonic Jam type deal or more recently like the Kirby Dream Collection. Have a ni...
@killerhog
Where have you been the past 10 years? Nintendo hasn't censored anything since the N64, even then it was few if any. The GameCube was full of mature content, Resident Evil 0 and Remake, MGS Twin Snakes, the uncensored version of BMXXX.
Have you even seen the trailer for Ninja Gaiden 3 on Wii U? Go watch that and come back here and say they will censor Bayonetta. It's the only version with excess blood and dismemberment. Not to mention a nude Ayane o...
I'm glad that they have re-released all the PC versions of the games on GOG recently. It is a great series that needs a sequel to finish off the story, or dare i say it, a reboot. I almost feel safe saying that when Square have done such a good job with Deus Ex, and Tomb Raider and Hitman look fine.
Bring back Kain and Raziel!!
It amazes me people are using the new console and zero install base to rag on a new game in a series going onto the Wii U instead of the current systems. You want new games on the Wii U to have a reason to buy one, but when they appear you say it's stupid cause it should be on a console with an install base.
A new console doesn't get an install base unless it has new and exciting things to play. Saying a new game or a sequel shouldn't be on a zero install base sys...
I know it would cause just as much, if not more rage than this announcement if that happened. But it would be brilliant at this stage just to hear that it is getting done, on any platform!!
Kingdom Hearts HD Collection and KH III all on the same systems/system and you have a killer release on your hands :)
Couple months ago - "Nintendo has no core games, no exclusives, no games everyone wants or sequels to popular franchises, no new games, I'm not buying it a Wii U give me a reason Nintendo!!"
Now - "Omg Nintendo is funding and publishing a core game, sequel, that heaps of people wanted, that is new, they rescued it from oblivion since Sega canceled it, they payed to have it done and now its EXCLUSIVE!! *rage* Dick move Nintendo, I'm not buying a Wii U!!!...
Can't wait till..what is it? Thursday? To find out for real. I won't believe anything till its out in the open from Nintendo themselves. "Leaks" from "sources" are not credible information.
What does surprise me tho is how many people are bashing even this rumored setup. Their PS3's and 360's are fine, and awesome consoles, and have the best games. But when console specs that are averagely better are mentioned, all of a sudden specs like th...
This is the biggest load of crap, current PC's can't even push Avatar quality CGI on a single rig. And these people are trying to say the next gen of consoles could? When consoles use cheaper and less current gpu's and cpu's to keep things affordable to the console consumer. I would love to see them try, I really would. The only thing that's going to come close as someone else mentioned are the cutscenes. Blizzard and Square do those beautifully, but in game, not a chance....
@Joris_L
To be fair Project Gotham Racing was just a retooled and re-released version of Metropolis Street Racer on the Dreamcast. But I agree, regardless of ports the Wii U has a pretty darn good line up. Especially for the people that may never have played these games due to only having a Wii or perhaps taking their first leap into gaming.
Legacy of Kain should be on that list. Shenmue and Timesplitters I can agree with 100% tho. They really do need to finish off the story they had planned for Shenmue. With today's engines etc it wouldn't be anywhere near as difficult as it was back then.
Need I remind people that not a single HD Collection has EVER had ALL of the games in a series on it. Also are people conveniently forgetting God of War? Two HD Collections with only TWO games each. Yet people were fine with that. People were fine with the Ratchet HD Collection missing three games, fine that Jak & Daxter missed two, fine that Metal Gear Solid Collection was missing the first game, same with Silent Hill.
Tomb Raider, Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell, NONE ...
