GOOD! That's all that needs to be said. How many years have we been trying to tell them to look to the past. What made their games great to begin with. It used to be that the western devs struggled to make games as well as their eastern counterparts, but these days it seems to be the other way around. Ironically enough, trying to cater to everyone else and not making the games they would usually make is what ended up dragging them down >.<
Wheres my Legacy of Kain HD Collection, or remake.. or new entry in the series!! Go give Silicon Knights a hug and steal the copyrights for the original game while your at it :P
Now i'm asking a serious question here, i have no idea. So don't shoot me down. Is the Vita actually quite popular in the USA or something?
I only ask because here in New Zealand hardly anyone has one, you never hear people talking about it. We get no adverts on TV that i have seen. And the sections for it are so small at the local gamestore. The amount of games for sale seem to be less than half one shelf. Not to mention the $400-$600 NZ price tag.

Apart from Parappa, none of these series are "Playstation" series. Unless by that they just mean series that were on Playstation as well as 2-3 other systems. In which case why didn't they just say call the topic "5 Classic Series we want to return"
Another FPS...sigh..
Also where the hell (no pun intended) is the sequel to Dante's Inferno. There has to be more, the ending made it seem that way. That and there is two more poems after Inferno.
So basically they have released a short video.. and a couple screens and somehow people are able to tell its totally unpolished and rushed..there's still 9 months till release. But yeah lets totally call it right now >.<
They could always build on the "Powered Up" and "Maverick Hunter" series. They would be good candidates for download only games. They would look nice and vivid in HD too.
I'll bet they announce a Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix or something with the remaining game content. Minus Kingdom Hearts 3D i am guessing, since that is rather new, i wouldn't imagine that this soon after it's release it would be re-released let alone on a different console.
I'm betting a 2.5 would have playable HD versions of Birth by Sleep and Kingdom Hearts 2 along with a remastered HD movie of the cutscenes and events from Coded. That way it would match the...
Went all out on the Mega Man pages of the survey. If it helps him get a new side scrolling run and gun, with some 2D sprites, then go digital download if you think he won't push retail sales anymore Capcom. I wouldn't even mind seeing you continuing the "Powered Up" or "Maverick Hunter" series as digital only release. But i still think since you obviously aren't releasing a brand new game anytime soon, a new collection released during his anniversary year, done...
I miss Legacy of Kain..it needs a new game. Or a reboot. I would have been dubious about a reboot at one point but considering how well Square has done with Deus Ex, Hitman and Tomb Raider i could see it being decent.
Doesn't mean that it should be in Dead Space 3. That is all.
Looks like a bad clone of God of War. Man can't developers think if something original. Ha! god of War is much better. Oh wait...it is God of War. Sorry I was just jumping on the bandwagon that everyone seems to get on everytime a new action game comes out...or a sequel. But silly me, I forgot God of War is exempt from such internet troll critique haha.
@P_Bomb
And how many of those games/characters you mentioned owned or developed by Sony? Valkryira Chronicles and Yakuza aren't, they are Sega IP's. Demon's Souls isnt a Sony exclusive or owned by them. Starhawk had a generic guy with a gun last I checked, as does Syphon Filter and Resistance, tho they are exclusive to Sony and the IP's owned by them. Journey's studio may have been funded by Sony originally so I could let you off with that one, but they are now ind...
Yeah that always baffled me, it's called Playstation All-Stars and yet a good portion of them are not owned by Sony or the Playstation brand at all. Even the extra characters people are yammering for are not owned by them. It kind of goes to show just how few memorable or decent characters Sony has these days. NOT GAMES, before people jump all over me, i am talking characters here!! Bring back proper mascots!! Bring back unique characters and not just <insert generic guy with guns>!...
With Toriko and other Jump characters i would assume this will stay in Japan, much like every other Jump crossover game. Unless all the series represented are known to an American audience i don't think it has much chance being localized.
Jeez, you must be a new gamer or didn't read the bit where is says "old school". I wouldn't call ANY of those games old school personally. Out of all of those Quake and Killer Instinct might slide in there just. It will be interesting to see what Geoff's idea of "old school" is tho.
This is a brilliant and fun game, 90% of the public seem to think so, 90% of the gaming press think so, and obviously I think so. Kotaku has its head up its ass on this one.
Sure it's hard on HARD and EXPERT difficulty, what do you expect. People have gotten far to used to instant gratification and hard modes being relativly easy. Im enjoying the challenge, ive gotten past every hard mission and I'm chipping away at expert. It's great it has that replayability an...
Resources? Please..even after their 1st loss ever earlier in the year, they have more money aka resources than both Sony and Microsofts gaming divisions. This has been stated by numerous financial and stock reports over the last year.
Its even been said thet could take a fiscal loss for the next 30 years and still be in the black. So really there's no excuse for them to have not taken the risk and made more of a loss on console sales than they are currently and use better...
So only Gameinformer and IGN have given it a midrange score that I have seen thus far, and that means its a bad start? All those 7's, 8's and 9's don't look bad to me. Then again I've always made up my own mind. There's been so many games "critics" have panned and I've had a brilliant time with them. You follow what critics say and your gunna miss out on some great gaming.
@Mounce
FF7 and FF8 were not PS-Exclusive. They both got PC release one year after the PS release. They had smother and enhanced graphics, better audio in places, and in FF7's case a revised script fixing most of the spelling errors etc. and FF8 PC even included the Chocobo World mini-game that you otherwise couldn't play outside of Japan due to them not releasing the Pocket Station in the west.
Much like anything there is a split in the fanbase and people in...
