And this is why everyone loves CD Projekt Red, not only for their games, and that they make DLC for free! But they also have that brilliant DRM Free digital store "Good Old Games". They really go out of their way for their fans and we respect them all the more for it.
Nintendo has more new IP's than people care to recollect, it's just that when they release them they get overshadowed by their old IP's. And people keep buying their old IP games in droves so why wouldn't they keep making them? It would be bad business sense to not give people what they obviously want, especially when each Mario, Zelda and Metroid game sells in the millions without even trying. People can say they don't care for the old IP's but the sales numbers speak...
So it's pretty much like the Mass Effect Trilogy then? Not worth the money and each game can be brought for a total price much less than the collection and still have the same content.
It does seem that game companies are taking the money for nothing stuff a bit too far, and I guess it will continue as long as people keep paying for all the overpriced stuff.
In my country ME1 is $9, ME2 is $12 and ME3 is $45, all brand new, that equals $66 for those not good with their maths. Now that's not even taking the many second hand copies into consideration.
In my country the trilogy is launching for $99.95, considering people can freely get all three games with the same launch DLC for $66 separately, how is $99 a "great" price tag? It's not, plain and simple. You may be happy to spend $33 extra for nothing but most peop...
Definitive version? Hardly, they are missing half the DLC. Not only that, they are charging the same price for this trilogy on each platform even tho the 360 and PC version is missing some of the content the PS3 version has. And let's not even mention the Wii U which gets ME3 only with no real extras beyond tablet controls and an exclusive gun and they are charging the same price for that as the trilogy on other platforms.
You can buy each game separately and get all the ...
How is this different from Sigma 1 & 2 on the PS3 being revised from the 360 originals and receiving gameplay tweaks and an extra character etc. Oh wait...it's not! It's just cause the "directors cut" type version isn't on PS3 people are complaining >.<
Pretty sure the movie "Paul" explained that four boobs was overkill and just plain sick. Three is the sweet spot, "Total Recall" knew it, apparently Sony doesn't :P
I agree with this guy 100%, gamers should be putting their foot down and closing their wallet to cash grabs like this. Complete collections or even trilogy's would be brilliant, but omitting DLC, especially story DLC is just plain scummy. Look up Mass Effect 2's DLC prices, to get even just the story based DLC it's more than the cost of the trilogy itself! They havent lowered the cost of the DLC since day 1 and they hope to cash in from anyone who buys this "complete" tr...
I know we don't have Vesperia, but are we even getting the first Xilla? The back and forth between getting these games and not getting them is ridiculous. Even more do here in European countries, we have had less than the United States even >.<
If KH2 FM was in 1.5 then people would complain about the lack of content in the inevitable 2.5 ReMix. It's a pretty good guess that when they do 2.5 ReMix it will have KH2 FM, BBS FM and HD versions of the cutscenes in KH Re:Coded.
For once it's sensible marketing, who's gunna buy a 2.5 ReMiX with a collection of side games if KH, KH2 or even BBS are all in the same collection? Not anywhere near as many as will buy both collections if they split the "main g...
They better damn well have at least all the DLC for Mass Effect 1 & 2 included. The Mass Effect 1 stuff can be hard to get for PC these days having to mail EA for a key, and they never released all the originally limited time stuff on 360 or PC in packs like they did on PS3. So many people requested an "Ultimate" edition of ME2 including the DLC like they did with Dragon Age, if they have ignored that, so help me *shakes fist*
Makes me wonder if 360 and PC will ...
There must be a time period on these things cause there are plenty of people that leave companies and start their own in the same sector, or talk about the company or it's ideas and plans after leaving said company. And very few of them get taken to court. Personally I would never sign a contract that tried to tell me what I could and couldn't do after I left a company. They stop paying me, I stop doing what they tell me.
@Army_of_Darkness
I trust then that you are not a real "hardcore" gamer? Losing interest in gaming just because a company leaves the market is a sad reason to quit one of your hobbies or passions, there have been a few that have come and gone and eventually what we currently have will too. I used to be an avid Sega fanatic, but I had to learn to embrace the others and get over my fan type nature.
Each console and company offers a unique take on gaming and mo...
How is that even considered lawful. Once your contract is terminated, it's terminated, you are no longer bound by the companies edicts. Once they stop paying you they can't by law enforce their rules on you.
@Highlife
Yup you certainly grew out of that. Right out of multiple Mario releases and into multiple CoD's, Halo's, God of Wars, Gears of Wars, Grand Thef Autos, Assassins Creeds etc
I'm not saying its bad, I love some of those games. But what your missing is a LOT of companies release sequels and in reasonably quick succession. The resin they do that is because the games SELL and LOTS of people but them.
They wouldn't make a new Mario...
Possibly because it has 4x the RAM and a GPGPU that far outperforms the PS3 as well as the 360. It may not be the huge leap everyone was hoping for, but don't judge based on launch games, all launch games on every console ever have never been the full potential of said console.
Also if you think that Sony and Microsoft are going to release something leaps and bounds above the Wii U then your fooling yourself. In the current economoic climate where people think the Wii U, ...
So let me get this straight, Sora heading for Castle Oblivion at the end of KH1 and then randomly being asleep at the start of KH2 is fine with you?
Half of Organization XIII already being defeated with no explanation is fine too?
Namine and Sora's promise. As well as Xion and Roxas's story being absent is fine as well i guess, and why Roxas left the Organization.
Saying you dislike the games personally is one thing, or even the game...
You want the contents of all 6-7 games in one collection and you have the audacity to sit there and call them greedy?
Probably videos from Coded, I doubt what with it being so recent and all that they will include any Dream Drop stuff.
Stop catering to the lowest common denominator or what is currently "hot" and give us a nicely animated 2D sidescroller that's worthy to be a successor. Or continue what you started with "Powered Up" and "Maverick Hunter X" and make them PSN/Xbox Live/Nintendo Network download games since the originals didn't have the turn over you wanted in retail.
You would think they would have learned from the success of Megaman 9 & 10. People lov...
