I have a better game. It involves a sphere with good bouncing properties, comes in any colour of choice and has real life physics simulation based on your personal abilities with your arm. All you have to do is take the sphere and throw it against any surface and watch the fun fly.

I happen to still buy PC games and Console games. The appeal of Consoles is the pick up and go, where as PCs have constantly costly requirements each year. That problem is easily rectified with better development for lower PC requirements, not pumping out Crysis style games every year.

This article fails to look at the bigger picture. You know, the one that includes Europe and Japan for selling games. Not to mention that Canadians don't really have recession fears, helped in most part now that US games are somewhat cheaper given the US dollar.

I believe Valkyria Chronicles is very much to be tactical like chess and to have a story with much political comment. Wii fit is well, a expensive stair master.
I think what he means is Wii Fit and Wii Sports are watering down the gaming industry. Yeah it's what happens when you branch out to other markets.
In all fairness he's trying to protect his own game and future stakes. If everyone is buying Wii Fit and ignoring his game where does that lead him to make new games.
Personally Wii Fit should be classed as an interactive fitness simulator. It's not a game by modern terms.
Treat it like the development community has been; a cash cow. Mostly for Nintendo however. Yes sure eventually games will come to mature and use the controller movement aspect of the system, but a flaw stands as this; A mass marketed system can only have bland mass marketed games to make money.

Well they could draw it out or use the 3D models with Cell Shading style a-la Team Fortress 2. That's a good style in games that typically isn't exploited much as it should be. It's a good bridge between games and art when done with care and attention.

Didn't the PSP turn itself in to a phone before the iPhone turned itself into a gaming system?
It's a little hard to justify having to pay $300 for a 'trendy' non-expandable gaming system where as the PSP has left itself for many more future devices and memory expansion (yes 8GB is small compared to the 8, 16, and 32 GB options of the iPhone, but it won't remain 8GB for long).
I cannot fathom gaming taking off or more so making a profit on the iPhone.
