Frivolous, superbly frivolous.
From what I noticed, the PS3 didn't have the best cut-scene (the contrast/ brightness was messed up on it.) but the main part of the game was darker or the colours where richer. It was really noticeable in the characters faces. There's a distinction there.
P.S. I've typically scene these comparisons on a calibrated CRT monitor for graphics design / screen to print. I probably have an advantage over the typical computer user.
Here's a better external drive product;
1) External Hard drive case with USB 2.0 (usually retails at $20-35)
2) Hard drive (IDE cheapest/best for USB connections) of any capacity (found around unused or new. Typically $0.25 - $0.50 per GB)
Nice, Lost Planet Demo.
Although I wish the real game was forwarded to release earlier in the month, a demo to tide me over is not bad.
Doesn't hold it's own against the 3,000+ piece Star Destroyer created by Lego.
Which I happen to own.
Game points seem to be like crack if people are so wildly addicted to them and will go to any lengths to get more.
Talk about a troll.
"...Sony's online friend management and gameplay are an utter mystery, requiring endless navigation of its Byzantine menu structure."
- The XMB has won an award.
- Although Sony Only, it nicely makes for a universal menu system for all their products.
"Sure, buried inside the PS3 are plenty of amazing “potential technology” features -- like the ability to install Linux, or its wireless connectivity with the PSP -...
Ha ha, it's coming alright. But will it be good? I bet with all the time money and effort, they could have built a small city instead of this game.
P.S. DOS Duke is still the best.
I guess it was a little folly to make a choice like this for a console.
I seriously can't understand the the angle on this shift to DLC. Why do company think we ALL want to have everything digitally handed to us. I don't.
I think it's a terrible idea. Sure call me materialistic for wanting hard-copies of movies and games to have a sort of 'proof of ownership', but isn't the writers strike in some ways based around DLC?
And the sizes of content are over shadowing the current supplied bandwidth by the ISP. Given the content that can be fo...
Sure are somewhat snooty. There are other approaches, like the 'join' em approach'. This entire article acts as if men will never grow up and be responsible.
Perhaps if responsibility is thrusted onto them, then things would change. All and all I don't see / find a reason to. And another thing, I'm fairly sure the adoption rate of smart phones and money stealing Mp3/video players is far higher on women, not to mention the immature clothing that's produced for older women.

I'm kind of an outsider to this entire 'my countries troops at war' but isn't the last thing they need a massive distraction to be playing video games while there are larger things happening / to get done?
Shouldn't they be given the decency to play video games in the safety of their homes and not on a battle field?
I'm all for good programs and moral support, but there does appear to be something more important like ensuring they are home safe than safely stocked on...
Graphics artist orgasm.
Well if they make it right. I would have no problems replacing my pc with this thing if it would mean doing better graphics art work.
Apple yet again slaps the face of every early adopter in their new products. Personally, where I to own an Apple product, I would demand the ability to upgrade for the cost difference.
I to this day cannot understand why the offer a better product in less than 9 months after bankrupting people. MORE so after the holiday season when everyone went out and bough the old model.
Wait, who previously owned N4G then? Was it indie?
Am I teh pwned by these Future?
'Out look not so good.' on behalf of Microsoft's Xbox360.
Never fear, it will probably get ported to a PSP/DS nearest you!
Yeah sure, everyone in Japan and Europe has fancy game playing cellphones, but a lot more people still have handhelds that play games better than cellphones.
If devs really want to save PC gaming, the simple fast answer is to cut back on game requirements. I'm not saying make poor looking games, but don't expect people to shell out $500 every year on hardware to play a $45 game.
High end graphics do not always equal a great high end gaming experience.
Well PC gaming is probably still long off from dying. There's limits to consoles and to PCs. Given that the PC gaming industry is just pushing things to require more hardware as it comes out (Ie Crysis and Oblivion when it came out) they've lost sight of hardware reqirements.
I don't entirely need my games to be flashy, but just functional without more of an investment. Some games won't work as well on a console as they would on a PC (Games like Civilization, RTS's in general, a...
Well I'll be... I said way back that to get a slimmer PS3 (when the rumor mill started churning out that) you would need a 45nm processor, and well, here it is. The next step to getting to a slim PS3 is a 65 or 45nm RSX chip.
Still, a slim PS3 is no 2008 or even mid 2009 release. They'll have to burn the current models from inventory before they can even consider a redesign. And to add on that they released a white and silver model.
I'll state this now however, by 2...
