Yeah they really are griping too much about PCs. It's not dead, it's just transitioning really. And really, where it to die, it would be a result of devs putting too much emphasis on graphics over gameplay / content.
High requirement games would kill PC gaming faster than a console.
I take this as Mr Baulmer and Microsoft will be giving everyone broad band to download stuff digitally. Else if they aren't they can shove the downloading notion else where and let us enjoy large capacity portable media.

I disagree with you on this. Remember that Deus Ex was PC only. PC only games tend to have quite the depth to them where as their multiplatform counter parts tend to get shaft on things mostly because it has to be playable on the weakest of the systems. Also things as minor as the controller interfere with the game quality over all.
An example of how the controller degrades the game over all would be BioShock. An inventory would have been nice, but doesn't work well with the 360 ...
Yeah the work around is basically merging the cards together into one super card. I've had it done for me in the past.

Someone forgot to factor in 'inflation'. All and all, if you want cheap long games, go for nintendo. Sony and MS aren't exactly going to drop their development costs to push out Wii type games every week.
