The graphics card industry is quickly moving away from power optimisation... This getting sad and pathetic. Crysis should not have to have 4 graphics cards to make it run better. The game should be optimised to run with at most a SLi configuration.

I think the research left out about the part where some people like to make money off of Online games. This unfortunately comes out in the form of 'farming' and tends to ruin the experience for others.

Hear, hear! This good gentleman has it right. Look back to our treasured non-multiplayer inclusive games. Single player games where great back then, and getting better now. Sure you can't completely write off a mutliplayer experience, but there comes a point where it begins to water down the experience.
For example Halo 3 single player has been entirely ruined by it's multiplayer aspects taking over. I loved having 12 shot shotguns and 60round Assualt rifles. But look at it now. ...

Western Digital already makes 1TB and 750GB hard drives, ergo making a 640GB drive is a step backwards because it's not progressing technology. They've basically put two 320s into one drive.
As for current drives, no the 750s and 1TB drives are not running in any RAID mode. They are stand alone drives.
Can someone explain why they are bothering to make 640GB harddives when the 500, 750 and 1TB are good enough. This is more of a step backwards than it is forwards.

I think the biggest problem for Spore at this point is that it moved completely away from it's beginnings. It's not that it's complex, but that the game is big. San Andreas was not a complex game, but there was just so much you could do that at some point you didn't bother because of the time involved.
The sad part may end up being that the creature creator is more popular than the game itself.
