So you're saying the Japanese version is more difficult than the western version, right? Activision only helped with distribution for the west and had no role in Japan so by your logic they had no influence over the Japanese version.
It's also got a very different playable than other card games that isn't immediately familiar. You've got 3 boards (lanes) to play on at once and are managing your cards and heroes between them. It's taken some cues from mtg but has strayed further from it than most card games.
The monetization system isn't really bad but it's definitely itself not as beginner friendly as other CCG's.
You can personally not find a game fun but acknowledge that it's got good aspects that make a good package overall.
Kinda makes you understand why it had all the delays. Hopefully, it sets the groundwork for them to use on another project. I'd hate all that effort to be for just one game.
I think it'll be a good game. Review average will be around 7-8.

They definitely had the biggest games of 2017 throughout the year so they did dominate. Sony had a good Q1 with Horizon and Persona but not much else (Similar to Nintendo's 2018 with only strong performance in Q4). If Nintendo can't dominate 2017 with their line-up then no one can dominate any year. That's the logic that follows with your statement.

They have about 750 employees. If they can't commit to a persistent game universe with that much manpower while creating a successor then they were out of their depth and should've re-evaluated their product. Also the gameplay shares some of gameplay mechanics from Halo so it's clear that to some degree they were building off some of their previous work.

Not sure on total sales but NPD will likely be out soon for December and they've said they lean towards the Nintendo Switch winning Q4. The US has always been the closest of region when it comes to sales with all of the big 3 having times where they've been on top. There are winners and losers of course but its not like Europe where the PS4 dominates everything.

No it's not. Ubisoft performs very badly on PC and it shows in all of their figures. I remember TB once saying that if you're a PC Gamer you may as well pretend Ubisoft doesn't exist. If you think this is big news then tell me about how big a deal Origin has been in destroying Steams dominance.

Sorry but one of the big pre-launch criticisms of the Switch was it's pricing. Not only that but one of the PS4's most praised advantages pre-launch was it's affordable pricing. And if we go to last gen the PS3 struggled because of how expensive It was early on.
