To be fair it took a long time to get Nintendo into this position and it was more to do with localization than censorship (although the lines between the two do blur). A horrid example is when we saw doge memes in the US version of ALBW and complete dialogue changes in Fire Emblem.
What I hate more with Sony's stance is the double standard for their own games. We can have all sorts of violence and depictions of attempted sexual assault/rape in their own games but as soo...
"The Fallen Order’s trailer showed no gameplay what so ever, despite the game releasing in less than a year. I am cautiously optimistic."
I mean is that really abnormal? I think often times it's because devs show their game too early and the product ends up not being representative of the game we saw years before like with The Witcher 3. That games visuals were incredible in the trailers and then the game comes out and you're looking at something very diff...
As with anything Star Wars related now it's best to keep expectations in check. I always feel that Star Wars games can make the player feel too powerful compared to the movies and it'd be nice if the game can manage to capture the "movie feel" rather than a "Force Unleashed feel" with the gameplay.
The scene salvaging the Venator was very nice so I wonder where about this game is going to fit in the timeline.
Even Ethan Mars couldn't stay awake for the whole game. Its actually kinda funny when you hear about the original vision for Heavy Rain, and then see what they salvaged of it and how much of a mess it is. Not entirely QD's fault but it feels like Cage has tried to go big before he's shown he can even pull off a simple story.
"swear people are either acting dumb or just too ignorant to realize that's what they are doing the past years
Capcom got so many free passes this gen its unbelievable ."
You're not talking about the books and shoe things are you? If you seriously believe its a big issue then I don't know what to say other than stop overreacting. Battlefield has likely reused assets for many of their weapons and I remember a warehouse in COD4 being reused in ...
Their plant pots have wheels.
"Just remember that Nintendo consoles are mainly for children and then you'll realize why certain decisions doesn't make any sense for adults with the game systems."
How can a product be for children and only have 17% of its users be under 16?
"Read the story"
He did which is why he's questioning the wording in the article. Read the first paragraph and you'll see what Eonjay is referencing.
Saying it's going to be good in 12 months doesn't make it appealing right now though does it?
That's an incredibly good line-up minus the obvious one.
@rainslacker
But competition is always good so they had no reason to complain, right?
The generalisation you just made is just as stupid as saying you'll avoid full priced single player games because of games like Shadow of War and DMC5 having MT's.
Where were you when Tomb Raider was a timed exclusive?
"This is exactly what I've been trying to get across to people. Steam has been stagnant for so long."
Really? Guess I just imagined Cloud saves, Steam Workshop, profile pages customisation, trading cards/badges, SteamOS and The Curator system. You have to be living under a rock if you believe Valve has been doing absolutely nothing to improve their client over the years.
Just scroll through this and you'll consistently see they've be...
"Sheenuthelegend - you are completely entitled. Life isn't free. The internet isn't free. Servers aren't free."
So here's the problem with your "entitled" argument. Sony had full multiplayer access as free throughout the PS3's life before they decided they'd lock it behind a paywall with the PS4 so its not entitlement if it's reasonable for it to be provided for free. MS could easily offer online MP for free and Nintendo only ...
@Dirtsnapper
Yes, they have. I know for a fact that during the 3DS lifetime 90% of the games digital retail codes were cheaper than buying through the EShop at launch and it's a similar story with the Switch. As to whether that was true for most of the PS4 releases I can't say for sure but digital codes have at times been the better option compared to going directly to the online store.
"The game prices in store never change even when the game is on sale on the PSN"
There have actually been times where a game is priced higher directly through the online store than it has been to buy a digital code through a retailer. If you want to argue about price drops through sales then why doesn't the digital price drop to match the physical version?
"Gathering facts are better than writing without full information. Comes off as being an opinion. Facts are better than opinions. Facts allow you to properly form an opinion afterwards after getting to the truth."
Why did you write a whole paragraph based on speculation if you're so big on facts?
Then present a more reliable metric that shows R5 was undeserving of an 85.
"Sounds like they're going for the Force Unleashed angle"

That would be a little disappointing to me. I'd really like to see a gameplay style where deflecting blaster bolts is actually difficult and you have to use cover and flanking routes to close the distance between you and Storm Troopers due to being relatively inexperienced in the force and unskilled with a light-saber. It would be a breath of fresh air compared to The Force Unleashed.
