One advantage of GWG is that the game is accessible regardless of your membership status. Also haven't the offerings from either service varied in quality many times? MS has definitely performed poorly in terms of game offerings this gen but that doesn't mean we should dismiss what they've done well.

Only if hes a casual who only cares about the latest AAA. Are you a casual? Because if I go through his list he mentioned Olli Olli 2, Axiom Verge and Hotline Miami which are smaller scale games that outdo many AAA releases in terms of quality.
Sorry, but I think you need to broaden your selection of games if you're expecting me to only look at AAA games as something worth playing.

The point is that you only attempted to list 1st party there to show Wii Us year as much better when the Switch has far stronger 3rd party support. Not to mention a lot of the games you listed got ports for the Switch this year like DK: Tropical freeze, Bayo2 and Captain Toad. So add those to the following:

I'd say it was a good year. Not fantastic, but good. We got games but 90% of the year lacked any heavy hitters. They released games but this year my playing ratio has skewed more towards 3rd parties. No where near as good as 2017.
2019 should, by the look of things, top 2017. You've got the solid backlog coupled with the most varied line-up the system will have ever seen. Can't wait.
Stormy year for these big publishers. You both know what you did wrong so get back to your next project, and make sure you apply what you learnt from this. Don't try and trick and manipulate people, or twist the public perception around your game. You will be caught because on the internet everyone gets caught.
Of course it excluded Tencent. Too big for their own good :/
