hanghelds normally outsell console...
Whats significant is that it got outsold by a handheld that is supposed be failing horribly
I'm happy nintendo appear to be failing with the Wii U. I think it will really push them to compile the best software line up they can.. All I need from them now is to distil the mario brand to 2 games only. Mario Kart and 3D Mario. The rest of the time they should be offering us something completely new
I didn't mean it like that. If say you're really into Halo + a few multiplatform titles and nothing the ps3 has to offer then it really doesn't matter that microsoft rarely supports the 360 in exclusive content. I was just trying to make the point that exclusives for the sake exclusives doesn't amount to much. It all just comes to down to being able to play games you like, their exclusivity doesn't make them better.
The PS3 has had an abysmal year of 1st p...
@paul1974.
A combination of the 2 actually
Also I found that when I had my 20GB 360 I filled up all of that space simply with demos, updates and a few small downloadable titles. I don't like having to micro manage my memory just to ensure I don't out of space.
Haha, let me not contradict myself this time!
What I ultimately mean is that if you're enjoying you're 360, why does it matter how many exclusives it has? All that matters is that it has the games you want to play. If those games lay on another system (the last of us), then yeah sure you may regret your purchase. I mainly just trying to get at the point that people sometimes like to brag about exclusives regardless of whether they're going to buy them or not. If ...
lol, as little as microsoft has done to deliver exclusive support to the 360. Its still been very much alive. Exclusives only matter to those who need to validate their console purchase.. If you have a 360 and are enjoying the likes of Dishourned, Ac3, COD, Battlefield, Skyrim, Bioshock... essentially everything other then sony 1st party titles why does it matter?
For me personally the annoyance is in the fact that the 360s 1st party line up was so strong from 2007-2009. I as...
Yes they most definitely do.
Not so much for subHD rez COD games but anyone who plays traditional games (COD/Fifa/Assassins creed) will notice the difference between Battlefield on ps3 vs PC ultra settings. At least enough to make an informed purchase of the higher end system over the lower one.
unless of course by average joe gamer you were refering to people who play just dance and the like?
Its still no where near the equivalent of a game being built from the ground up. Its essentially a large DLC bundle for a last gen game.
Theres nothing wrong with a low end model like the 8GB. But the premium version is terrible, 32GB is about as useful as 8GB in a home console.
people will say "oh, but you can buy your own HDD"...I think the majority of consumers prefer an all in one solution and the thought of having to buy a Wii U and the spend another £50 on HDD (which is mandatory cost for many, similar to the vita's memory) is very annoying. So in actuality the Wii U isn't £29...
LOOOL, there is zero chance of it outperforming the wii.
The only way this will happen is if sony and microsoft reveal their consoles and the graphics are within the field of the wii U. This then has to be followed up by developers releasing multiplatform across ps4/720/Wii U. Wii U versions must launch day and date as the other systems. But even then, it'll probably be a split 70m, 70m, 70m...
The leaked specs of orbis pretty much confirm this isn;t going ...
And the thing is you don't even have to go as far as PS plus, the playstation store regularly features fairly impressive discounts for regular customers.
Just yesterday I went on an impulse shopping spree on PSN
Dark siders 2 for £10
Twisted metal £12
Dishounored £18
Duex ex human revolution- £5
Now I haven't used my xbox since Halo 4's release so haven't been on XBLA to see if there...
As entertainment boxes they are equal in my opinion.
The 360 has more apps but I don't need any beyond: Lovefilm, Netflix, BBC Iplayer, ITV player and 4oD ( i believe these channels came to psn 1st?). Of course this will vary by region but as someone from england there is very little in distinguishing between the two services other then the cost to access XBLA media and 360's lack of bluray player.
But why are we judging the design as if its the exact control we're going to see on the 20th???
In terms fo functionality the control is perfect from what we see here, not forcing any changes which may alienate fans of the dualshock 3 but making subtle improvements.
GTFO to everyone complaining about it being ugly , can't you read the word "prototype" and see it obviously intended for developers eyes only
I see no reason* ^_^
I have no reason why they wouldn't just include 12GB internal memory inside each system. This way people won't even think about the added cost of a memory card, but naturally if you plan to go all digital it won't be long before you'd want to pick up additional memory.
Every game is a system seller for someone but theres a difference between what personally interests you and what you think will interest millions.
FInal Fantasy
Metal Gear
Grand Theft Auto
Elder scrolls
Ground breaking new IP
Sony's current line up doesn't have any massive systems sellers, although they potentially have a few in Japan with Soul Sacrifice and ps3 multiplatform titles like Gundam and One piece
Vita owners want JRPGS, somone please bring them.
Other then the 1st point about swipe to to kill, I think this guy is trying a bit too hard to force these negative points. The game is looking promising but my main concern is that the frame rate looked like trash in the gameplay trailer.
I hope they don't try and pretend that this game has the same budget as a full fledged console release and price it at $60.
Completely underwhelmed...
