I never said they haven't been possible....just because something is "possible", does not mean its in existence. 99% of titles are made with the console market in mind and so do not take advantage of PC hardware. To a large extent consoles act as a bottle neck for PC's but equally the lack of unified hardware for developers to optimise for stops even PC exclusives from truly showcasing their hardware, and so the arrival of next-gen console always re...

I could only think nintendo money hatted tons of exclusivity... I remember capcom initially showed demos of monster hunter on Vita as well as lost planet, they even said that the MT framework (engine behind RE:Revelations) was in process of being adapted to the Vita.

I'm hoping nintendo does HD wii downloads soon. I'm picking up a wii U in summer along with some wii games I neglected when I essentially disowned the system like skyward sword, xenoblade and galaxy 2. I'll be ultra pissed if I buy all of these games and then a month later nintendo releases them in HD for $20/£14.99 each!

Were nintendo worried about the 3DS or did they just want to create a monopoly?

i find it strange that both Square Enix and Capcom steered completely away from the Vita in terms of original content even before it had launched, when they supported the psp quite strongly. I would have thought games like Kingdom hearts and RE:Revelations would have always had the intention of going multiplatform. Especially with the VIta's added power and dual analoge sticks. Financially bo...

how are you going to type on a 2' screen? You wouldn't be able to fit a digital keyboard on a screen that small.

But the gameplay still looks decent, essentially its looking like uncharted. Hopefully theres actually a hub world in this and some RPG elements. I don't expect the gameplay to blow us away but I think it will shine in its quality of story telling with voice acting and animations.

Launch titles don't typically push the envelope, but this could be a brilliant demo of things to come.

In my opinion we've only had 2 misteps.

1. The disappointing FFXIII
2. The overall agenda for the square to milk the franchise with unnecessary spin offs.

To me the true series only lies in the main numbered title. So I automatically dismiss all of the negative press on the sequels but I do wish Square would stop making them,I miss the days when all FF titles were followed by a roman numeral and it ended there. As such I'm simply waiting for n...

Well that makes zero sense seeing as split screen was in the wii version.

"they have to alter the character models so the system can handle multiple games running at the same time." Last time I checked this is still basically a wii game with a few improved textures, shouldn't the wii U be able to handle up 4p split screen without much/any optimising? Oh well, I guess they're just being lazy

With the Wii U's power in mind, I was really...

they really need to start including internal flash memory. They could just sell the demo pre installed

Thats a bold statement. Especially with the Wii U apparently taking a small hit on every system at $350 (unless its only the $300 version selling at a loss). Baring in mind the cost of Wii U pad, if the next xbox+Playstation are a huge leap forward+ feature USPs like kinect 2/new ps eye/tablet controller I wouldn't expect them to initially sell at a profit at any price below $600.

Anyways, I'm not much of tech guy and I really do hope you're right about the price...

The source seems like BS but its my favourite rumour so far! I need either microsoft or Sony to go all out on the hardware. I don't care which one, I'll end up getting both within a few years anyway.

Also MS has has never gimped out on Hardware yet, and with their newfound success with the 360 I expect this loss leader trend to continue. Although they'll reduce the loss by having the system $600 dollars up front (almost breaking even), but also offering $199 two ...

You're looking at it wrong me thinks. Its a microsoft exclusive that will eventually go multiplatform. I actually miss the days where consoles were completely different like n64 vs ps1

But I'm fortunate enough to have a ps3+360+wii, but it won't be long before you can pick one of these consoles for $99. So everyone should get a chance to experience the opposite systems exclusive if they really want.

People are going on as if we haven't already seen a next gen launch title in starwars 1313, EA have already said its intended to come out this year. We don't know for sure what kinda system the demo was running off and whether the 720/PS4 versions will look as good, but the signs are pointing towards a more impressive leap at launch then we saw at the 360 launch (especially if you compare late xbox (not ps2!) games like Fable/Doom/Riddick to early 360 games Kameo/Perfect Dark Zero. I ...

-Its cheaper than PS3,
-Most casual gamers only care about COD+MAdden/Fifa+ AC
- most people either 1: don't care about bluray
2: Don't acknowledge that the ps3 is a functioning Blu-ray player
- Microsotf has the more popular exclusives. Halo+ Gears alone >>> Killzone+Uncharted+ Infamous+ resistance (in terms of popularity)
-Micosoft has the better USP. Kinect is far more marketable than PS move.

Who wanted a Vita version of SKyrim? That would be a massive waste of development time, just to port a game everyone has already played to death.

A updated version Vita version of Morrowind is what I was hoping for.

lol, why do I see this sentiment so often. People need to stop pretending that actual effort is put into these pokemon games and that their presentation shortfalls are a result of technical limitation. Yes, there are hundreds of pokemon to model and animate but pokemon are not detailed characters, nor is there movement highly realistic.

Look at Monster hunter freedom unite on the psp. It has 80 monster in it and every single one of them is many times more complex than even th...

I agree with the sentiment, but I think pokemon would work well with near realistic environments especially in regard to lighting and effects (albeit slightly stylised) and then the characters and pokemon can remain i their anime stylings.

I was blown away by this trailer when I first saw it, I would rather this over cell shaded.

This is sensible pricing and hope all developers follow this route, find a price thats going to grant you a game wide audience, whilst still being high enough to garner profits. Just because your title is on the ps3/360, it does not mean it has to be full priced.

PSV version is cheaper and if you know thats the main system you're going to play it on then it may be worth you just getting that version alone.

I was just as excited as everyone else until I saw the trailer, this is a half assed attempt at 3D. The animations, environments and effects are almost a gen behind what the 3DS is capable off. They're still taking the approach of doing as little as possible, the fact that the pokemon models are in 3D (something that was possible on the ds) hasn't changed this.

Seriously, if this was any other franchise we would assume it be a downloadable e-shop title.
