This speaks volumes. The most likely scenario is that this is an indie perspective (an indie Nintendo have no relationship with). Many major studios had recieved Wii U and PS4 dev kits over a year in advance so his statement doesn't fit.
A return to Cartridges are a possible solution. The reaosn why games need to be installed on PS4/X1 is due to the limited speed of Blurays and the amount of infomration which current games need to read from the disks.
Agree about the weapons, You shouldn't have to bend over backwards to simply access a new arsenal for your characters. FFVIII is the only RPG I've ever played where its plausible you could go the whole game without finding a new weapon or the necessary parts to make one. I'm all for legendary items requiring a lot effort but also think there should be a casual sense of discovery as you find new locations and towns.

I actually agree with him to some extent. It entirely depends on the game and the feel its trying to attain. I love 60fps in smash bros, but I don't like the impression it gives in more cinematic games. Watch the Uncharted 4 reveal back to back in 30fps vs 60fps. I honestly prefer the 30fps aesthetics.
how the game feels is slightly different, but some genres and gametypes benefit for 60fps in gameplay alot more then others.

I Believe there is normally around 2k between the 2 systems. Wii U around 9k, PS4 around 7k. Both are selling like crap, if one is dying, so is the other lol.

People are laughing because 12k in the week following your biggest release of the year is not good by any standards regardless of whether you're talking handheld or home console. The PS3 was pushing 12k just a few weeks ago... The system is 7 years old and has reached saturation point.

Its not about what the Vita can handle ( a lot more than this lazy port), its about this game being rushed out.Same with the GOW and Jak and Daxter colections... Both the later games looked and ran like crap.
Sony still hasn't learned the lesson that quality matters on the Vita, its not enough to just have a big franchise name on it.
I am very sure this game isnt coming at the expense of a new Mass Effect. Its either being worked on by a small team within Bioware or being outsourced, either way its a completely optional purchase amongst a sea of new games coming out later this year. I am sure there are plenty of people who havent played this trilogy that would lap this up for everyone else, you will have the freedom to buy something new like watchdogs

Developers make their games with existing hardware (PS4/X1) in mind, to utilise the power of much more powerful machines they'd need to spend a lot more extra time creating advanced assets and testing on those higher platforms.
I think 1st party's may push the boat out with a few releases but other then that, expect minal differences like 1080p instead of 900p, 1...
