If Sony don't have any anti consumer measures and price it more competitively it has a chance of winning the generation. I'm sure it won't be another £425 situation.

Given pretty much every indie out there has said Sony and Nintendo are more courteous they would beg to differ. Although some have enjoyed their experience with Microsoft.

This is nearly the exact same price Sony asked for PS3 when it launched. If they couldn't get away with it what makes MS think they can?

It is one of the 7 first party exclusives as well. I thought they would have Rare get off to a good start.

Not surprising really. It seems like Microsoft expect AAA games to carry their systems forever. They claim to want to compete in other areas of games yet their online policies for indies and companies adopting free to play games is angering developers.

Wishful thinking isn't the term. It wasn't going to happen without Nintendo. The highest authority confirmed this. It isn't anything like Resident Evil 4. When are you guys going to give this up?

In plain English = since Nintendo was the only one WILLING to publish it, it HAS to be exclusive. Nobody else cares for it. If Sony and MS did they would have saved it.

I find the end of your paragraph highly ironic when you say you pirate their games.

More like GTA V will hurt PS4 and Xbox One sales since the game would have convinced people to upgrade.

EXACTLY! Anyone who believes developers and publishers are desperate may as well believe the world is flat. People will believe anything they are told these days.

I bet it gets on PS4 and Wii U eventually but the chances of it getting on Xbox One are zero unless MS fork out cash for it.

4676d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

I'm guessing its one of the exclusives. But that will be timed.

Halo, Fable and Banjo would be permanent though but I don't think any game will convince the masses to accept the anti-consumer measures MS have implemented.

Funny thing is as Microsoft work towards angering people with their online policies Nintendo work towards courting people with their online policies. MS make you pay to put a patch up but Nintendo let you do it completely free.

If they care about the game or the future of the series they will buy a Wii U anyway. Otherwise they can't want it as much as they claim. Even if the game can go multiplat, if the game flops they won't bother putting it on the others just to appease a group that refuse to buy a Wii U. They will just assume the series is a flop and will send it to be buried.

If these haters cut their brand loyalty and buy the game big sales may be enough to convince Sega to publish Bay...

Completely agree! The double standard going on here is stupid. Wii U uses existing engines and its under-powered, outdated and weak. PS4 uses existing engines and because they work for Sony in Naughty Dog we trust.

People kept preaching "NEW GEN = NEW ENGINES!" since Wii U was announced. What happened to that?

The weakest systems have always had price on their side. In Wii U's case the price of a low battery controller is a much better price to pay then the anti-consumer measures companies are making us put up with in the Xbox One. The UK also has people voting with their wallets and buying Wii U.

I believe Sony could try something. I don't think it is blocking used games to take fees but they could try and prevent them.

Regarding the third parties. They need to get over themselves already. Defend them all you want. It isn't right. There are laws in Europe against these types of practices. That should tell you corporate defenders that the companies have zero entitlement.

I'll be surprised if Microsoft get away with it. Provided Sony are doi...

Sony said they aren't blocking used games so if they implement this they were lying.

As Majin-Vegeta says the problem isn't trading. I personally see more of a problem in companies getting away with this because of what it does to their heads.

They think they control us and are pushing more and more to see what they can get away with. Kill this idea day one and make it go away forever or support it and make it get too out of hand.

Honestly, even though Sony are likely to prevail I can see some third parties back-pedaling and using Wii U as a decent alternative.

Developers are likely to abandon the sinking Xbox One ship by March.

Likely won't get the majority of games but it could be placed on a higher priority.

And when those who live in ignorance see it needs an internet connection just to work it will go right back to the shops. If they are advertising it that much they need to make it clear that everybody knows what they are doing with it.

No company is too big to fail regardless of how popular their franchises. Final Fantasy was one of the biggest series last gen and now because it has plummeted SE is sinking with it.

EA (because of how big they are) could be one of those who turn victim to the phrase "the bigger you are the harder you fall".
