Think about it from Capcom's perspective as well. He confirmed he made both Dead Rising and Lost Planet with the company money behind their backs.

I'm not saying I agree with all Capcom do but he isn't altogether innocent. He is the one that "confirmed" MML 3 despite the fact he knew it wasn't green lit.

It is also partly Inafune's influence that led to DMC. Just dig back to what was said about DMC 5 at the time. Capcom pulled BS...

I think its right. Nintendo saved Bayonetta 2 and likely have more up their sleeve. If Nintendo is the only one putting their games out they should just forget everybody else.

Thats because Nintendo is the only one willing to go through with publishing their own games. Nobody else is willing to throw bucks at Bayonetta, Vanquish, Madworld or anything else for fear of flopping.

@ Hanso

The series has no future on other systems because nobody is willing to go through with it. Be grateful the game is happening. Without Wii U you can't play it at all.

Or you can just do what the rest of Bayonetta fans are doing and buy a Wii U. The future of the series depends on it.

If you REALLY care about the game you will do it.

Its not about units sold. its about profits made. Nintendo make an awful lot of their money on their hardware.

4590d ago 3 agree1 disagreeView comment

No. Nintendo are fine as they are.

4590d ago 8 agree1 disagreeView comment

I think it was more Sony's mistakes at the time. 360 was getting serious calling outs from the media for the controversial hardware failure rates. Would people have put up with it if they could have gotten a PS3 for the same price? Highly unlikely.

For people who are interested. I popped by my local Game this morning and checked with them. XBO pre-orders are far behind PS4 and they are not even close to selling out. I got confirmation from the store manager.

I don't think you are grasping. In fact I think the push towards this "future" EA want is the real reason Nintendo fell out with them. It makes way more sense then that Origin story that went around back then.

To me they gave their biggest support to the manufacturer that was willing to test what they can get away with.

*MS backtrack and remove DRM*
Peter Moore: ”We don’t ship a game at EA that is offline, It just doesn’t happen. And gamers either want to be connected so their stats and achievements reflect who they are, or you want the full multiplayer experience on top of that. We don’t deliver offline experiences anymore.”

What is EA's insistence in pushing online distribution? And you expect me to believe you weren't the company heavily pushing for used game blocking?

4594d ago 5 agree1 disagreeView comment

Nintendo will be fine. They just need some big titles and more advertising.

3DS just had it's own game announced. Personally I think this sounds WAY better.

4594d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

Its funny because I brought the same thing up last time. Nobody I know (nor anybody my friends know) is buying one after MS pulled that. People who think its going to sell just because MS reversed the DRM temporarily don't have a clue how the world works.

Most people are not as blind as these companies believe.

And it can't be on Vita as well?

4595d ago 4 agree0 disagreeView comment

They can say what they want. The truth is Nintendo knew Monster Hunter was a huge key factor in why PSP had a good jab at DS. When 3DS can run it perfectly fine they jumped in before Sony could get there. Nintendo money hatted the series to boost 3DS momentum fast but I never really expected Vita to take that much of a hit because it lost a single franchise.

My guess is they will be back if it sells well over the holidays.

4597d ago 6 agree0 disagreeView comment

Personally I thought the bad pre-orders it had indicated a lot cared. They wouldn't have reversed it in the first place if nobody cared.

Those who aren't aware will still need an internet connection to set it up when they get it so MS is far from out of the woods yet. The patch still needs to be downloaded.

A few Xbox fanboys can believe what they want. I don't believe the mass market will forgive them for this. A slight boost in pre-orders doesn't suggest that the majority will move over. In the long run, the damage will still show itself.

When sales figures pop up post holiday you will see what I mean. Pre-orders for PS4 are confirmed to be far higher than Xbox One despite the U turn.
