Having Monster Hunter and Dragon Quest (two of the biggest franchises in Japan) exclusive to your platforms is some of the best kind of publisher support you can have.
What more do you want? It bodes well for Square Enix and Capcom releases in the future. Another company seeming to throw more bias to them is Tecmo.

@ Gribble I believe they were still happy with how the Wii version performed in comparison to the cost it took. Which isn't that much when they are upscaling it for PS3.
It MAY be in a contract so it will just get on Vita later anyway. If Nintendo have a contract on it it will be timed. If not it can get on there day and date.
Either way a Monster Hunter game will get on Vita eventually anyway.
If it means Sony turn it around it is worth it.

TBH I think they should put Resident Evil 6 on Wii U. That way Nintendo gamers get what they missed out on and Xbox and Playstation gamers get what they missed out on.

The problem with your last paragraph is Nintendo isn't blocking used games. Actually they are giving them free when you buy the system pre-owned. Just raid the previous owners download history :P

This tech won't become successful because consumers will give it the finger.
They are already giving the finger to Vita for memory cards. These used game restrictions are like DLC. Companies just push more and more to see what they can get away with. Eventually taking it to extremes (see Capcom).

This is why I have said time and time again that the next Xbox is only set up to disappoint people. They aren't bundling Kinect just to lure in the casuals. They are focusing a lot on these party/casual games rather then focusing on games that their fanbase want.

Food for thought here Miku. Nintendo is publishing (you know signing deals) games with third parties. They are pressing developers into including it in multiplatform development and paying them higher royalties for supporting the system. They are also putting those with big support on higher priority.
