Speak all you want MS but something tells me 3DS is going to continue it's domination there for a while.
So all the people who said Zelda and Mario would never sell Wii U.......
Obviously they were going to. Expecting them not to was wishful thinking.
This would be cool.
Don't forget RRRRIIIIDDDDGGGGEEEEE RRRRAAAACCCCEEEERRRR!!!!!
I said this for ages. You shouldn't assume XBO will get third party support just because 360 did. MS screwed up on the whole handling of it and when games are getting pre-orders that low would you risk making a game on it?
To give you an idea, in August Killzone had more pre-orders then Dead Rising 3, Forza 5, Titan Fall and Ryse combined.
I'm saying that Rare should have stuck with Nintendo and Insomniac should have stuck with Sony. As people below pointed out Insomniac went from being critically acclaimed to many reviews of mid 70 scores and that came from the release of Fuse.
I bring up the point frequently yet many people don't consider it. Companies like that are better off in their own barns and staying there.
Its nice to hear a developer looking at it from our view for once. This is the point Jim Sterling tried to put out against Cliff when Cliff said "cut our budgets?"
Nobody really cares how much money you put into it. Yet some companies seem convinced people do.
I'm not sure who owns the rights to Sunset but I am pretty damn sure the Ratchet franchise is owned by Sony. Therefore it will only be on Xbox if Sony allow it.
Eternal Darkness was highly rumored to try and jump to 360 and PS3 in the past. But something went wrong there. Nintendo didn't allow it. I find it hard to believe Sony would allow this.
Insomniac is just another example of a company leaving a platform and going downhill after.
See Rare, Sega and SK for other examples.
Companies should stick by their own platforms. I think Insomniac has been foolish to turn Sony down just for freedom.
The only remake is Wind Waker. Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Bayonetta 2 and Smash Bros are all entirely new games.
Third party support will depend entirely on sales this Christmas. If Wii U owners want the support they need to buy Watch_Dogs and shows they really care.
I love it where people keep saying Wii was only bought by "casuals" and was lucky. Yet the extremely huge sales figures of games like Smash Bros and Mario Kart indicate there were an awful lot of people who weren't just casuals.
The casual audience contributed massively but you seem to underestimate how much came from Nintendo's franchises as well.
Xbox One has been nothing but bad PR since announcement. I won't be surprised when XBO is shown to have a bad launch because of these reports.
The sad thing about this is an awful lot on the internet were proclaiming Vita would become the handheld that knocked Nintendo out and prove the smart phone analysts wrong.
I have talked people into trying to buy Vita but they don't want one. The reasons are either because they felt PSP was just a PS2 you take with you so they know Vita will be the same. Or they don't like touch screen and don't want it for that.
Its a shame because its a great ha...
You just have to see Need for Speed to see there is a difference. It might not truly show it now but it will in time. Take a look back at PS3 games that came out in the early days and you'll see there is a very big difference compared to games back then.
Compare the Last of us to many games back then and you'll see just how much PS3 started to shine in the later years.
I think both Vita and Wii U will find people that appreciate them. Forget the internet naysayers and analysts. Big systems don't just fail.
As long as the companies stand behind them people will buy them. They just need the right incentive to.
I agree. The media strikes me as foolish sometimes. Of all the brands that exist in the industry, Nintendo has to have by far the most underestimated. There is nothing else that comes close to Mario games and nothing that truthfully compares to Zelda.
These people can't seem to accept that unless the popularity declines overnight their wishful thinking just won't happen.
No. The demand is not there for Nintendo games on PS3, PS4, 360 and Xbone. Why?
People know where to get Nintendo games if they want them.
They perceived the Adam Orth reaction to a bunch of internet users making noise.
My interpretation of this is games sell systems.
