I see what you did there. I was referring to BF4 being an example of an AAA game.
I can list tonnes of indie games last year that deserve GOTY more than BF4.
Its sad to say but if Revelations didn't get ported to Vita then Monster Hunter 4 had no chance. I'm not sure why people are surprised by it. It is up to Sony to sort out the Vita's problems. Not Capcom.
Am I the only one who would suggest to Nintendo that they go handheld only? I don't hear anyone outside vocals on the internet having a single bad thing to say about their handhelds. The "industry experts" kept proclaiming smart phones diminished demand for gaming dedicated handhelds and Nintendo proved them very wrong indeed. Its easy to look at Wii U and say Nintendo is failing but 3DS is proving to be a massive success despite not meeting Nintendo's targets.
I'm just curious why all 3 hardware manufacturers currently have struggling platforms and yet only Nintendo are "urged" to develop for other platforms. By the logic of this article, should Sony make games for smart phones because Vita is struggling? Should MS make games for PS4 because XBO is clearly being left in the dust?
I'm just trying to see all sides here.
A good read from the author and it brought up the same points I have made in the past. People seem to think Nintendo would be the same but the truth is they would only go third party out of desperation.
They would have shrunk their resources and no longer have the money to take the risks they do now (that means no Pikmin or Metroid). They would be desperate for cash and would turn into EA and Activision. That means, rather than the 3D Mario games people seem to think will hap...
Capcom are obviously struggling with resources for these new systems. Everybody else has said they are easy to port to.
Ninja Gaiden without Itagaki isn't worth it. The quality of NG3 proves it. Also looking at the new one the series is just going to go more downhill from here.
I've honestly never heard a point presented about Shuma and Jill. This is an interesting point you make. The problem with these two is that there was a large group that bought the original release and already paid for them. How do you include these without a backlash? But true it did ship incomplete.
Also it was only Jill who wasn't finished by the time the first version came out. Everything about Shuma (voices, ending, art work etc.) was on the disc so he could have...
I agree Capcom have gotten their just desserts with this. The failure of their recent releases has been brought on by their greed. The problem is the same that has happened to other companies. DLC was intended to expand the game and instead companies are using it to hold back the game for extra cash. In that respect Capcom have reaped what they sow.
I think its interesting that people are looking at the finances of someone besides Nintendo for a change. If you want my honest opinion Sony will be fine because their business strongly relies on video games now. I don't know about buying their stock since it could take while to get out of the financial pit. They are still selling PS4 at losses.
Truthfully MS is the one that is really uncertain for the video game market since they have been here well over 10 years and sti...
PS4 could easily become as big a beast as PS2 was. Its debatable if it can sell as well as PS2 did but it will leave the others in the dust. I have no doubt on that.
The reality is that people don't just do what a company tells you to. Fanboys do. I knew the entire time Wii U was going to trounce XBO because people know MS' true motives now they have shown them.
Now the biggest fanboys have snapped up an XBO its up to MS to put it right or the third console curse will rear its ugly head to Xbox.
I'm glad to see Nintendo is proving the naysayers who constantly bellowed "it is over for them the second the m...
I think both Wii U and Vita will find their markets regardless of what these analysts say. Both are great devices and I personally think (regardless of what the "no games" barns say) both had the best launch lineups of the next generation.
Poor sales they may have but to the people that bought them we are thoroughly enjoying them. Ironically, poor sales will just push Nintendo to be more aggressive on their software lineup. Its happened with all struggling consoles....
Other M worked out well :P
Seriously this will actually show the people who beg Nintendo to stop making hardware what kind of quality they can expect.
My guess is most of the resources Nintendo have on the franchise is going to the new one and this will be an overseen project. Nothing more.
Its nice to see indies being so nice to Nintendo. They must really like Nintendo's policies.

You know I think Capcom wanted a PC port to happen but for some reason there was no approval from Marvel. At least thats what they were implying. If that is truthful is debatable because Marvel seem fine with releasing other games for PC.
Personally I see no reason it couldn't have happened if Capcom would have pushed hard enough.
Yeah. They are probably losing it soon. Everybody download costumes, Jill and Shuma while you can.
theWB27 Using your logic the entire Xbox brand is a failure since they are still in debt. 360 may have been profitable but the money they lost on the original Xbox, the money they invested in Kinect afterwards and the money they are currently investing in XBO still hasn't sorted out.
I don't see how it is premature. That sounds more like damage control by the author. Anything MS do to increase the hardware performance, Sony could do something on their side. It is obvious PS4 is the more technically capable console. Its great that Sony have learned their lesson.
