You guys should watch IGN to see what the big exclusive is.
Hint: THQ dropped it.
Yeah, shots fired. Nintendo trumped E3.
Pachter talking positive about Nintendo? Is this really Pachter quoted or his twin?
BTW I think Nintendo should stick with Wii U and get it out of it's pit before moving on. The industry needs competition.
A console is not expected to get that type of re-release because it is a different market.
The problem with the examples you used is they have a singular purpose but consoles have set lifespans by manufacturers. That is where generations come from.
That isn't to say they are replacing XBO. That is saying making a new platform irrelevant in 6 months is suicide for any manufacturer. I also think it is likely a new SKU.
They seriously can't be releasing a new console this fast can they? That would be the biggest middle finger possible to early adopters.
Your point about digital pricing and Steam is a good one and one frequently bought forward. Yes you would imagine having the freedom would make companies charge less for games but even going to XBO there has been absolutely no evidence to suggest it will happen.
People have asked why companies don't charge less for their games on online services to give the incentive to download. This is the flaw with the Steam comparison. They don't. They still charge the same as in ...
This honestly has to be the fastest relaunch I've seen.
Its because big publishers are really on the idea that games should be a service and not a product.
Precisely why I don't support any game which requires you to connect to company servers.
The PS3 games they have done aren't even remakes. They are up-scaled ports.

People said the same thing about the GTA IV DLC. Titanfall, like the GTA IV DLC is not funding the game. It is a payment for exclusive rights.
The only occasion where funding and publishing a game has happened is with Ninja Gaiden II. Tecmo built Sigma 2 around the Sigma engine which is how they were able to cheat a PS3 release for the game.
Titanfall is absolutely a money hat. That was obvious when Microsoft was confirmed to t...
@ truefan 1
This is how a contract with a publisher tends to work. A game is put on sale exclusively for that platform and if it meets the required sales target it then a contract can be terminated at ANY POINT! Titanfall is well known to have not met EA's expectations. Actually their multiplats are confirmed to not be meeting their expectations on XBO.
If Titanfall didn't sell enough the contract is allowed to be cancelled. See Zombi U on Wii U as an...
I am disappoint. I want an article about EA. Now that would be worth reading.
Microsoft have gained nothing from a business standpoint in the entertainment industry. Sony might be the worst off financially but MS will not ignore the financial loss from staying with a console having sluggish sales.
They co-own the IP. It sounds like a "we oversee any sequels that happen" kind of deal.
Whoever says Nintendo don't take risks clearly doesn't own one. Wonderful 101 itself was a risk.
You took the words out my mouth. Molyneux is the last person with a right to call out anything. Funnily enough the thing he calls a joke is the same thing he is guilty of hyping. It was him that presented the concept of Milo.
I know its not managed by their CEO but they should still watch their words because they cannot bank for absolute certain that they won't come back to Wii U later. Regardless of "trends" going on it doesn't mean they will never come crawling back to Nintendo. That is why they need to be careful. Regardless of what is at this point in time, they may still need Nintendo later. Hence, they need Nintendo more than Nintendo needs them.
EA need to watch where they tread considering they are so for backing the console which got the biggest backlash. When things go wrong for you on the one you were so sure of, you need the manufacturer you laughed at more than they need you. The curse of being a publisher. You are at the mercy of the manufacturers.
Its the same with Namco and their sarcastic Vita comment. What if Wii U ends up with a better laugh than XBO? EA will be the ones looking foolish.

If you are talking about the Japanese game, I doubt it is from Platinum. If Microsoft were interested in Platinum they would have jumped when they had the chance.
People don't get that while Platinum's games are critically acclaimed they are not safe bets for system sellers. They appeal to a niche audience.
EA is responsible for it. I've never understood why people feel sorry for the publisher when they crafted their own image with the game. If you don't care then why should anybody else? Unfortunately the developer is the one that gets bitten here.
There is the one I was waiting for. Danny Bilson and Itagaki were on IGN post show to confirm it.
THQ gave up the rights. Nintendo picked them up.
