Sorry, I really don't agree with the article.
Relax, it's a game, you didn't write it, Bioware did. Take it for what it is and move on.
Some people don't think the Mona Lisa is beautiful. Good thing it wasn't painted in the internet age or Leonardo's fans would have a twitter and facebook page trying to get him do give her D-cups and a nose job.
I 100% agree with the article. Gamers need to stop crying. It is Bioware's game, suck it up.
The problem here was created by Bioware however... blame them for actually listening to fans. That gets you nowhere because the vocal minority means little... and once they see you listening... they will start bitching and demanding like spoiled brats.
For example:
"We don't like elevators in ME1." Bioware listens and ME2 has load screens. ...
All I can say is that I am sad that Bioware chose to show her face... and she looked like a human with 3 fingers. Seriously?
The troll in me wanted her to look like some sort of freak, mainly because the model used for the shadow of her face behind the mask to date has been anything but pretty... and because I would love to see fanboys cry knowing they romanced an "uggo."
Tali was about personality not her appearance... now she is about appeara...
I also agree, for the most part. I have less time, so sometimes a good game that I can finish in a weekend (or piecemeal over the week) is satisfying.
The thing is... good games (ME2, AC2/brotherhood/revelations) feel short even if they are very long. Crappy/mediocre games always feel long, even if they are short.
So in the end, make games better. They can be long, but don't use filler.
And sex continues to sell.
I just spent about 750$ on a Fanatec racing wheel, stand, shifter, and pedal set with clutch.
Money well spent.
Skyrim Sucks! I can't take a dump behind a tree, or urinate on a bush! Come one Bethesda, this is lame. Talk about killing immersion, I have not done either in 7 days of game time. What a joke.
Plus, why doesn;t my character grow stubble or need a hair cut. THis should be a mini-game.
P.s. what is up with the Dragons? They kill the immersion because there is no such thing as dragons in real life.
And, for that matter, why is there a ...
Exclusives matter more in the early days of a console when game content is slim. It helps build a reason to buy the console, and thus gain loyal customers.
Later in a console lifecycle, there are so many AAA titles that are multiplatform, that exclusives become less important. There is more choice.
Early adoption is always the same: more money, more issues.
The same goes for cars. The same goes for smartphones. The same goes for consoles. The same goes for buying new games (think of Fallout New Vegas last fall, and this fall... 60$ and full of bugs, vs 20$ and far fewer bugs)
This article is like a tabloid... they find one "bad" picture and criticize it. "ASHLEY IS APE LOVE-CHILD" would be a better heading. Play the effing game and decide.
Sigh, it is articles like this that make me dislike Bioware for "listening to it's fans"
If you listen too much, "fans" will start to cry about EVERYTHING in hopes that Bioware will "listen" and change it. You start chasing your tail and ...
I LOVE Bethesda games, but this is why I buy/play them 1 year after release. It saves me money and headaches.
I am only playing New Vagas now, although even now it has it's side mission bugs and freezing issues, just less than when it came out.
Metacritic scores are always high early on... give it time and it will drop. Happens every time. It occurred with UC 3, Batman AC, etc. It should end up near 94.
Don't read it then.
P.s. I have not read the script but I can assure you that you can either fail to save the galaxy and the reapers enslave everyone, you can save the galaxy but have the galaxy mostly ruined in the process, or you can save the galaxy with some damage, and everyone comes together in the name of love and peace. In the end Shep dies in a heroic sacrifice in any of the above options.
I did not read the script, but this is the third game...
I think this is a pretty honest recap of the multiple strengths and weaknesses of both titles, not trolling (look at the comments below for examples of trolling)
In the end, the author prefers Forza 4 overall, and he stated why. That is his opinion backed up with facts that he weighed based on his opinion.
But opinion is subjective, game feature lists aside. To him the advantages of Forza 4 make it a better game.
Some will agree Forza 4 is ...
Well done Spike... last time I checked not all the games on your list were actually released, yet the public can vote for them.
That says a lot for how little the awards mean.
I personally thought this was an incredible game. It was a pleasure to play and was a nice change from FPS, TPS, and other more typical games that are out there in abundance.
I like games that make you think, and From Dust did just that. Like Portal, it was truly a thinking man's game.
Each driver has personality and different driving characteristics (good and bad such as clean vs: aggressive). That is what I like. The AI at the front of the pack are there for a reason.
This article is a great stealth troll article against Forza 4.
The irony is that Sony fans say that GT5 is more "sim" than Forza 3/4 (they call it "arcade"), but in reality both have the option to add as much or as little driving assists as you want.
Both are equally a blend of sim and arcade racer. Forza just goes further to also include more casual racers (Kinect steering).
And how do we know physics are better in...
the muscle car pack is actually on disc... you just need the limited edition or season pass to unlock them. Seems to be the norm these days, sadly. Look at Batman for example.
Doesn't lessen either game for me however.
I also agree with this article. We are all entitled to an opinion, but the writer of the game and Bioware have the final say... take it or leave it.
A lot of people didn't like that last Seinfeld episode, or the last Sopranos. Suck it up, you don't write it. Imagine if th Mona Lisa were painted in the internet era... "we are starting a petition to give her D-cups and make her more feminine." Leonardo would certainly be driven mad.
Th...
