Disk swapping on the 360 shouldn't be a liable excuse for new technology. Sure DVD clearly has limits compared to blu-ray but to say we need new hardware because of it is low to me. They've had previous generations with way more than 2 disk games if I'm not mistaken. Besides, if you're too lazy to swap a disk, maybe you should be playing outside anyway.
the problem with that logic thought is that you're saying the reason we have so many shooters is based on hardware limitations. This simply isn't the case. We have so many shooters because that's what the market wants. Thus who's to say next gen won't be just as saturated as this one.
I'm sorry but the more I hear the more disappointed I get. Spec ops, currency, load outs, those weapon drop things and no weapon settings, new armor, now parkour? What happened to you halo?
Long live bungie. (halo 1-3)
Idk, there was something about the original. I loved the historical and respect aspect tied to it, being more real world and based on fact. But something about it bugged me, the graphics or game mechanics, idk, it just didn't feel like it had enough quality compared to others on offer at the time. It just kind of left me "meh" Or maybe my hopes were just too high. Either way, I'm intrigued by this one, it looks better and I hope it is better this time around. *crosses finger...
Color me intrigued.
I have ME3, AC:R, and uncharted 3 to play through this summer.
As a history major and future teacher, I agree to a point. There are issues within movies and games where history is scewed for entertainment and gives the masses false information that persist (looking at you "the patriot" or "pearl harbor") Yet, these medias can also be very helpful. In an age when people don't care about history, view it just as history, black and white, old, no tie to the modern world....creating something that can be entertaining and fun (band of ...
I still own my Halos...hmmm...
Wanting and actually buying a toy while on welfare are two completely different things. You can blame someone for buying a console when they should be buying food or paying off a car loan. It's called responsibility, financial responsibily.
Fixed.
Like most I'm not liking what I'm hearing.
By invisible walls I'm assuming they are talking about the sparkly animus walls you needed to unlock in previous games?
I don't understand what they mean by "remove any body part" and the "will wait until you're done" parts. Maybe it's the translation but I don't understand what they mean by those game mechanics.
The 30 animals and no invisible wall are pretty cool.
How is this a competition. I've enjoyed drake but Loras history and the fact she's been doing this forever I think takes the cake.
I enjoyed pascales point about graphics and how he's in no rush, that old games can still be beautiful. I also really like his point about playing prequels in a series, me3. I hadn't thought of that, it would be hard to play old titles you missed. In some cases stores just don't stock them not because they're no long manufactored but because of limited store space.
As a historian, yes! I've loved exploring history through the AC series.
"I suppose, it’s easiest to just say that I’m scared. Scared that the fun co-op / multi-player experience I was waiting for is going to get buried under a ton of good intentions."
I agree completely. As someone who grew up with the original trilogy, I do worry they'll try too hard and ruin it. This is typically what happens when a series continues after its expected ended. So it's highly likely I'll just stay away and keep my memories of the original saf...

True, those 400 flag things were a major pain. It's why it's a bummer. Still, in the big picture of things it's just a number :)
which makes me wonder if there will be some major shockers like mirrors edge 2.
