A sequel would be nice, end this gen on a trilogy or something then start fresh with next-gen.
I hope cross platform is true. As excited as I am for next-gen, a transition period is always welcome.
@mrMario
My statement that their different media still stands and can't be compared. Rather we like it or not games are still geared towards kids thus the higher price doesn't compute. At least with blu-ray you have a larger install base, say adults movie lovers from age 30-70, 40 years. This is vs a kid ratio of say 18-30 which is only 20 year demographic.
Again it's not the cost I'm against, I just think trying to Justify it via comparing t...
I keep hearing that if people are willing to pay $700 for an iPad, they should be able to on a console. This really isn't justified. They are two different mediums and even though their are a lot more gamers as of late, I doubt they equal the number the apple/tablet users as a whole.
No. I left based on my own investigation. The community just backs up my theory with their comments. Like science.
After reading these comments, i'm glad I left when bungie left.
Does this bigger screen theory also translate to the oled tech. I guess I'm just curious which is more future proof and likely as the next great tv. Most TVs sales are the 32s, so 4k would be out. So oled would be the new standard?
What If they did what ms did past e3. Do a basic announcement in feb, then a full reveal at e3 with a launch at e3 as well. Kind of like the xbox slim?
Thich,
I miss the fun antics arcadie, almost college buddy pick up and play feel it had. I guess a lot of that comes from my enjoyment in college. It was almost like a "party shooter" just fun.
I already miss halo 3...then they cod'd it with reach and 4.
I've saved enough for one without being economically stupid. still, I think I'm likely to wait a year after release to let the bugs and dust settle. So I still have awhile, good thing I have the likes of skyrim and other games to keep me busy.
I've plugged 95hrs and am not even close to finishing.
I wonder what the community would do if valve was to release theirs at e3 (confirming the "at least one console at e3 rumor) and Sony and MS did hold off on showing their consoles until e3 2014, further delaying next gen.
There's a rumor about them saying something, however spares about the next Xbox at ces?
I just want to throw something out there. While I agree that this all seems a little crazy and really won't see the light of day cause most patients don't, the risks, backlash, ect.
I just listened to IGNs thoughts on this and they seem to say that the games will be tied to your account and not necessarily the console. If this is true and thinking from a sharing with friends thing (which seems to be one of the biggest complaints) why not just download/share your acco...
I'll probably let the dust settle on both consoles. Give them time to mature and establish themselves before getting them. So a year or so after a release on both consoles for me. Or like the author said I may cave early, who knows.

Aside from that I'll wait and see what next gen. has to offer.
Well to be honest with both companies these machines are currently and will be even more than just a "games only" machine. They are and should be multimedia devices with movies, enternet, and music. It's just the world we live in. And I enjoy that, what I have a issue with are the gimmicks. The tablets, motion controls ect. Give my standard control and I'll be fine.
Is dishonored worth the $40 or should I wait for it to go to 30?
A world war 2 using the frostbite 2/battlefield 3 engine would be a nice experience I'd like to see.
