True but one thing going for the 360 say over the original xbox is the install base. I doubt developers would want to miss out on the millions of 360 owners compared to the low number of 720 when it's new. Sure in time the 720 install base will catch up but for the forseeable future it makes sense to release on 360 and move as much product as possible.
As long as they support it with good games, maybe downgraded versions of 720 games, I could see it lasting. Now if they only keep it for netflix and move ALL games to 720 then I could see an issue. Like the author said it's definitely a good all in one system and graphics wise will satisfy some...just as long as they continue to release most/same games on it even if they are a slightly lower quality from 720 graphics, then I think we'll be good.
Idk
To be honest part of the reason I enjoyed mw1-black ops was for the different settings, modern, ww2 (waw), and Vietnam. To me this future setting just looks like something I can get from any other futuristic shooter. Add that to the fact COD overall quality and enjoyment for me has been faltering. I just don't think I can buy into this.
Uncharted 3 (currently playing)
Mass effect 3
Assassins creed revelation
And when it releases, batman AC, GOTY.
Uh? Halo 1-3 would disagree with you.
but yes I agree with the article. It's partly why halo 4 worries me. I miss the "good ol' days".
Anyone know if this will eventually come to consoles or when consoles will get more DLC besides the one that's already out?
I would actually agree on a hardware standpoint. Software idk. This past gen was unique with HD and the casuals buying into Wii, netflix, web etc. The only company that has really been able to constantly see consumers upgrade is apple. I just don't see the masses upgrading like they did this last gen unless it's leaps ahead and I just don't see it happening cause we are slowly hitting a wall of sorts. People seem satisfied. Again last gen was just kind of unique and I don't se...
E3?
@Lucretia.
I think my issue is mainly with them continuing the same story. At least odst and reach were off shoots. It just bugs me that they're doing the story to 6 stories. It just seems deluded. Do something else and leave greatness alone. (ie their reference to a 4th Indiana jones) or Jordan playing for the wizards...ugh. So do something else with in the universe is all I'm saying.
Amen to their thoughts on halo and movie references like Indian jones. Talking about already finishing the fight and satisfaction. I couldn't agree more.
mistake, sorry.
This has been on my list to pick up. I've just been worried about getting it, being sucked into the story and then having a:world or whatever final chapter pushed to next gen. I don't want to be left hanging lol. Thoughts y'all? Thanks in advance.
I would love to play this. I'm just not sure if my laptop will run it and I don't feel the need to invest just for this game. My laptop is one I ought back I'm 07 running windows vista. At the time it played star wars galaxies well enough. I know this isnt proper but any thoughts on my ability to play d3 when it comes out?
Though if you were to commission a painting you would have had some sort of contract written up. We do not sign contracts with writers and producers on how a movie or book is made.
Amen! To diagree is one thing. Entitlement is something different.
Amen to the author! I couldn't agree more.
@Frightful,
His issue isn't so much an issue with the fans being upset or that they follow such a story to have it so drastically changed. His issues is like he mentioned, from an artistic standpoint. You can't tell Leonardo to change the Mona lisa because you disagree with it. Bioware put a lot of effort into this franchise that it is a little unfair for the community to demand a change when they had no ...
As intrigued as I am by the story of ascension. Whatever happened to developers letting a sleeping dog lie? First halo 4-6, now gow ascension and 4? This is where amazing stories become muddled with too many releases. I wish they'd let greatness stay great. It's like Jordan coming back and playing for the wizards. *sigh*
I was wondering the same thing. I found it hard to figure it via the trailer but from what others are saying it seems to be a prequel to take place before god of war 1
@kuma
All your points, the swapped hdd, glitches hardware, and ads are all irrelevant as well. None of that is indicative of new hardware. The hdd could be solved by bigger drives, sure they aren't propriatery but they don't necessarily indicate a new need foe hardware. Likewise the ads can be eliminated via a software update, and the hardware glitches are common in any technology, including the ps3. So there really is nothing to "require" new hardware.
The history nerd in me would say assassins creed.
Now terror and extreme realism aside halo and bioshock would also be interesting.
