Unless something is pulled out of a hat I haven't seen anything until mirrors edge 2 or destiny that intrests me. The last games I played we're ac3 (360) and tlou (ps3)
As a halo purist who's been around since halo 1 I really enioyed the article and brought back some great memories. I agree, with the introduction of "abilities" in reach it changed the dynamic. It was no longer the arcade style skill based. You speaking of the loss of things like invisibility, map layout, and simple notice that it was you a starter gone and skill are a great point. like I said, when the formula changed with reach and with bungie walking away it was no longer the...
Yep, same here just a simple name that actually has a very important meaning in my real life. So I was very lucky.
One thing I've liked is that both my XBL/PSN name is identical. I've always liked that.
If giving gow a break, I'd give uncharted a break. Both are great franchise and as such should be let to go out on top. Not to mention both kind of wrapped up what stories that had. Also it's the start of a new gen so nice time for a new experience from such great devs. I'm not saying kill it completely but give drake a rest so he doesn't go down cod/AC road.
It started with this gen which was a letdown. To play say mw3 or bf3 you needed to LAN consoles or go online. Halo was the only one I can think of it have local 4 player. So next gen going further into this is sad. I miss the old simple days.
As someone who mainly games on 360 this gen (I do own a ps3) and just how nice XBL was for me I am definitely looking forward to see what ps4 (my new main) can do now that it is on par with XBL in terms of having a subscription. There's no denying the revenue helps so I'm excited to see what Sony does with it.
Very nice read and some very good points.
I always thought this might be the case (Forza 5) but the fact that a third party (cod) can't reach it for whatever reason on x1 but can on ps4 is a little weird. Still, we're all ultimately stuck waiting and seeing until the dust settles and these consoles mature.
Nice read,
Not only is there the issue of being test subjects and all the dust settling that needs to come from a launch but for me personally I also agree with the author. Nothing I see thus far makes me want to jump and I'm not big on shelling out the cash for "future hopes". I'll play current gen and jump into next gen when DESTINY or MIRRORS EDGE releases! CAN'T WAIT!
Same here! Destiny is another (but it's also current gen)
They've announced a new mirrors edge. It's already in development for next gen.
Mirrors edge- my jump in point for next gen. Can't wait!
I'll be supporting my systems until about 2015. Then I'll really jump all into next gen with mirrors edge 2.
@kingthrash
they did this exact thing for the ps3 list. Google it, it was updated on the 3rd of sept or something. They have both multiplat and exclusives on the ps3 list as well. So really the only thing separating the lists is the exclusives on those respective lists.
MIRROR'S EDGE
DESTINY!
can't decide which will make me finally jump to next gen, most likely mirrors edge since its next gen only. However, we'll have to wait and see. Excited either way. Until then I'll let te dust settle and play my backlog.
The last guardian please!
I must say, I'm very intrigued by this.
I wish the console version had the same loot system. Is it not easier to get look on the consoles verses the pc? Isn't the pc version more in line with the d2, that's what I wish.
You can count me as one that doesn't want to. That's not to say I'm not looking forward to it, I've just never been one to buy things until I have a logical reason to do so. So for me it's not that I don't want one, it's just not logically reasonable yet. When mirrors edge that'll change though, it's my jumping off point. Can't wait for that game!
