My guess is that they keep it as profit. When they got enough revenue for the next quarter from exclusives and other releases like PS Now, then they will invest maybe a small part of that to something. They remainder money could be just spread around to various units to boost overall quality of some of their services.
@Delsin_Rowe: Vita+TV sold more than all versions 3DS/2DS combined last week.
Why?
You have a good taste!
I'm with kalkano here.
I'd rather have slow and turn-based games (FFVII, Xenogears/Saga, Suikoden etc. from Japan and X-Com and such from the West) than quick adrenaline-rush type of cocaine fixes most "gamers" get while turning off their brain and shooting someone for esports scores.
Gaming used to be a hobby, now it's just a fast- paced, global phenomenon where everyone wants to cash in quickly. It started as a much more revolutionary ...
It's a double effect combined of the upcoming "Golden Week" and value added tax hike (5% ---> 8%). Expect numbers to rise by mid May.
Yoshida-san!
You always make me feel positive when it comes to your comments! Now, that's a talent right there :)
Keep it classy, Sony guys!
This, I will buy for Vita!
My next PS4 game. I didn't play the original, so I'm reaaaaaaaaaaaally looking forward to this! :)
same! that's the bestWorms game Team 17 ever created. Ohhh we used to play that non-stop and losers always punch the members of the winning team! :D
Good ol days never coming back :(
Sony does have tablets and mobile phones, why can't Sony diversify and hit all markets with it's Project Morpheus? Oculus is bashing Sony for nothing, and maybe that's because they thought they had no competition..?
I'd imagine this is just the start for both companies and they both try and get their new VR platform er... to new platforms!
Hope Oculus stays classy. We all know Sony does, mostly.
Good! There are people out there who actually like rain more than sunny weather.
I'm one of them. For that purpose I carry an umbrella everyday.
Professional help has been considered.
Ooohhh restructuring, let's be babies about it and make some headlinese!
IGN has fallen low low low.
That is actually not true. They do not like their imperialistic history and foreign politics. But one thing they like about Japan, is the technology.
Trust me on this one. (lived, studied and worked in both countries for years, I speak both languages and studied their culture in universities).
Now that China is finally opening it's doors to new consumer electronic fronts (because they can make money out of it), it's plausible things are going to chang...
I think a system where everyone gets a small % fairly would be good. For gamers, any kind of digital trading would already be a win.
If somehow developers and maybe the company (Sony, MS, Nintendo etc.) mediating the trade could also get a share (which they could use to fund new game projects), then this system could be a win-win for everyone.
The legislative aspect is probably the hardest one to tackle as big markets (EU, US, Japan) all have a unique legal s...
Yeah, I remember that game! It was actually pretty good. I loved the sound effects on the guns :)
People should understand that a game that has been originally coded for 30fps doesn't always translate to 60fps just like that. I can feel the developers bleeding from their eyes when they see articles like this where people assume and hope for almost impossible things.
Housemarque said the same thing when they got complaints about 30fps PS4 Dead Nation: Apocalypse... These things are service for us, just to get a little bit more budget to the developers' next big gam...
I just deleted all my characters yesterday (I was drunk and had only one lvl 60 barbarian), to experience Loot 2.0 in a new way.
I have to say, it feels like a much better game compared to when it was originally released...
I hope the best to you and your son. Children are the hope in life and I understand every father doing a brave decision to protect their own family over anything else in the world.
Art and games do not overcome real life. They are ways of dealing with it, but do not solve the fundamental problems within.
In the Japanese PS Store they already had classics playable on Vita for at least over a year. Almost all PSX games in the geemuaakaibusu (game archives=psx,pc engine etc.) and PSP games have a "PSP/Vita" written on it.
The other day I was trying to find out Europe's PS+ game archives to download some classics for my brother, then I realized that the EU/US stores do not have them...
