---Off topic: Which is why I never buy a game unless I have the time or will to complete it at the time of buying.
Saved me a lot of money, backlog doesn't overwhelm me and I actually finish more games.
Steam and gog sales are just a clever psychological marketing scam. The statistics say that 65% or so install, and much less play more than an hour, of the games bought.
Also, the developers get much less, if you buy them at sales. This is...
Got it, thanks a bunch! I hope it doesn't disappear after a while... I think EU laws might protect us Europeans for that, though.
Edit: the receipt they emailed me says "Trial Fusion (Trial)". So I think it's a demo like everyone else said...
:(
Ohhh I broke down twice: I bought the PS3 version at launch and PC version with the DLC Season pass and played it through once all the DLC was available. Now I have to buy a third version of the game for PS4...
Well, if I give this company my money, maybe the will keep making these good games. This is the ONLY real JRPG game series that is still interesting to me.
So what's the deal? I own a PS3 and PC version of the game. I know PC version won't be upgraded to DX11, and sadly I have bought Season Pass for PC only. Will I get PS4 version for free with the DLC cuz I already own PS3 version?
Edit: Maybe I can upgrade PS3 version to PS4 version for a smaller price or something?
I don't want to buy the game for the third time...
I just simply disagree. I've played plenty of Korean games to form my personal opinion about their games and art. Also, I would never put "Asian or Korean" into one big group, since there are 48 very different countries who all have a very distinctive history and view of art in Asia.
I'm not saying Koreans are not artistic, just that somehow their art in games seems incredibly generic and monotonic, especially compared to their rather sophisticated gameplay ...
Sure, I get the convenience factor. For games, I might even go for that. It's a good point.
However, just like you said, I've never been sold to surround over a good stereo set. Even with speakers I always go for stereo over same priced surround. I used to own Dynaudio Contour 1.3 and Cambridge Audio stereo amp. With the dt 880 + that speaker/amp set, there just hasn't really been anything better out there within a reasonable price range to justify an upgrade.
I'll stick to my Beyerdynamic DT 880. Once they are done (lasted for eight years already), I might look into wireless sets like this one. However, the quality better be as high fidelity as DT 880, otherwise it's a no go.
Once you get used to real hifi, there's no going back...
From a technical point of view the graphics are good for a hack'n'slash game. Animations and skills look extremely interesting. However, the bland art style and generic environments overall look B-rate. Many Korean games excel in fine-tuned mechanics, but fall flat when it comes to unique ideas or innovative art.
This one will get a pass from me. Grim Dawn is the one I will try next.
The only Level 5 games I have ever finished are DQVIII and DQIX. They should do DQXI with the original DQ team. Their games without proper supervision are too tedious for me. Oh wait, I did finish WKC I, bought the second one, but it was too dated to go back to... The story was ok, though (and the only reason to keep playing).
Dark Cloud 2 was good, but tedious as well. They need strict direction and boundaries like with Ni No Kuni and DQ games.
I'm still waiting for Destiny to get more content before I jump in. It is one of those games that I truly want to experience, but not just now. I want it to be in mint condition, like Diablo 3 2.0 or something. Maybe once all the expansions are released and some kind of GOTY edition comes out before Destiny 2 or something.
I heard only positive about the actual game, though. The hype was just too much.
I wonder if new ICE development tools will affect PS4's capability in the future. Would be interesting to see if the CPU cores can be clocked higher to achieve a little bit better fps. Or, maybe the solution is to look into GPGPU programming.
It seems that MS got really good development tools out early. Maybe next year will show something that is completely impossible to do with Xbox One.
So far, in terms of raw performance, it seems like PS3 vs X360 all ...
If you are planning to use fine words at least spell them properly: "Consensus".
I can't wait to see how this news will affect my ATVI stocks. Maybe it did already yesterday, as it jumped almost 8% up (was down for a week or so, though).
Happy to be one of the contributor's to this delightful, but deep tale.
All Ubiart engine games have been 9/10 for me. In fact, I wish they had used the same engine for HOMM VII.
Buy it to support their cause. I know I will. Also, wouldn't hurt to sign up and vote their game up on metacritic.
Yay! I only have Japanese PS+, because Vita can only use one account. It's great to have that one game that I always wanted to play on PS4! Finally, I can see what PS4 can do graphically.
Woah! PS4+GTA V (same as Xbone) is the first GTA I feel like finishing, this thing is good. Like Shenmue good. TLOU good.
Only played the first 3-4hrs today, but damn, this game is an instant classic. It's a classic in terms of entertainment products across all medias.
I just went to a cinema in-game between missions to watch a French/Italian artsy fartsy parody movie. I was laughing my ass off! I can't wait to see the rest of the game! I heard it jus...
haha... funny!
The original Deus Ex and System Shock 2 for me. Also, Goldeneye 64 and the first two Turok games.
Half-Life 2 comes after those for me. But I admit, it had genuinely intelligent moments. I have yet to try Portal 1 and 2, heard they are good.
Gaming was more fun 25 years ago, because games were much better, hardcore and underground. Now it's just like Hollywood.
