Or Vita.
Halo 3 sold the most in Japan among Bungie titles so far. A quick search says Media Create numbers were just short of 60k during the first week of sales.
In the US and Europe it sold around 2-3 million copies in the first week.
So 2-3% of their initial sales came from Japan, where western games sell 90%-95% copies during their first week, and at the same time thinking that Destiny's Japan exclusivity is a "big for Sony" is... well... I'll le...
Good luck everyone! And thanks N4G :)
Souls games are the only bright light in today's hardcore RPG gaming world. Luckily, Bloodborne seems to carry that dim torch and take it to new places :)
Same here! I was waiting it for PC, but I think I'll get it for PS4 after all. I dunno why, but I'd rather just fire up PS4 than my PC, although my PC has a slight edge over PS4 (with good optimization that is).
I was planning to buy the PSP version on PSN, but decided not to because of this HD remake. It might actually come with FFXV, as it would make the story more comprehensible and these games probably have more links than the other ones in the Fabula Nova Crystallis saga (Toriyama's games suck).
I have a feeling they will just milk us out a few months before the big thing hits, exactly like Konami with MGS:GZ.
I remain sceptical, but intriqued. I know Rei-Sh...
I didn't see the trailer, but some people are referring to the number 1984.
This is a popular number now in Japan because of a book called 1q84 (q is pronounced kyuu in Japanese and means number 9) from Haruki Murakami, a writer who is widely popular in the west (he almost won literature nobel's prize), but is sometimes not valued in Japan). His book also refers to Orwell's 1984 (a classic book read by many even here, I presume) where love prevails over a dystopia...
Yeah me too!
But if you played a character who is a white collar worker and goes to meetings and write reports daily, would that give you a sense of achievement?
He means that soon mobile games will be played through mobile devices on TV wirelessly etc.
I agree with the first three comments! I had to give you all a bubble :)
How about an exclusive and full-fledged Souls game for Vita? I bet that would sell a few units.
I think the question should be: How deep and interesting is the story in Destiny?
Haha... I love your sarcasm ;)
Maybe the "Wow!" -moment is where it should be: in the gameplay?
I get a feeling that Bungie is doing it again. Three quick reasons I recognize from Destiny that should make it a success:
1) It's all about gameplay while being pretty
2) The best, biggest and deepest realization of Borderlands' "3D diablo-loot system FPS game" (those games sold a lot, so there's a market there)
3) Activision throws 500m usd to the franchise and we haven't still even seen the story (they must be convinced it's th...
I'm with you! Had an option to get the new model from Japan, but decided to get it locally here in Europe just for the screen. Not a fan of LCD, always been a plasma/dlp projector/oled dude :)
How about a Shadow Tower(ish) game? I saw some comparison between the "Project Beast" logo and Shadow Tower. Both happened to have the same style of font.
Maybe it's a spiritual successor to Shadow Tower, which would be a rivaling IP to their Souls' series? (Souls' games are spiritual successors to King's Field games)
one hundreddd and eiiightt holyrrororr... not going to happen.
Looks pretty next-gen to me! :)
I also think that ODST is the best single player Halo game after the Combat Evolved.
Hey! You are supposed to read them articles! ;)
