Hmm... this has piqued my interest.
Steam machines suck, Steam controller suck. Great use of the millions you made!
It's just about optimization. Less and less people are old-school code wizards. Chaps at Sony Santa Monica, Naughty Dog, Remedy and Square Enix 1st dev team might still have true wizards who are not lazy!
Dark Souls II had a season pass and the DLC content was the best part of the whole game.
Right! I actually bought it on the release date, and still playing it. Haven't completed the main story, but am getting very close. With Ryu Ga Gotoku games (like a dragon, in classical Japanese!) I take my time. I don't do side quests, although they are usually super good. The Japanese is just pretty heavy (I'm around N1 level, but they use all types of dialects in Ishin), so it takes time. I'm one of those guys who cannot overlook a single kanji what I can't read or unde...
Yakuza Ishin is the next best thing to Shenmue.
I'm a big fan too! Just out of curiosity, how did you like Ishin?
Was sceptical about the title and concept mash-up just as I was with Shovel Knight, but after seeing this video I'm sold! Looks soo much fun! Just like Shovel Knight was with it's strange concept!
It's great to hear opposite opinions every now and then! And it seems that you truly tried to like the games, playing them that many hours.
I myself liked Witcher 1 and 2 as well, but neither of them had the subtle impact on me story-wise that Souls games have had on me. I'm yet to play Witcher 3, but I will play it after I finish Witcher 2 when I buy a new pascal gpu and pc later (have a shitty laptop that can't run games).
I've been trying t...
Sometimes the enemies spawn a bit too quickly and it's from one battle to another in dungeons with tight corridors. However, if you walk slowly they won't notice you, and it gives you a strange stealth element to the game. Battles are also much quicker, flashier and full of color, so even with the high encounter rate they are fun.
Great game! 75hrs in! Excellent writing all around. Really fun dialogue with every single character in Japanese. Some really heartfelt moments. They hit you suddenly. Speak to all the people in the towns and castles, it's so much fun! :)
So all the same characters in fat form?
An immature take on the numbers which are used subjectively to create false hope in Japan's console gaming market. A distortion of facts, almost. Lived here a half a decade, nobody plays games at home. Nobody has time to do so, except college students and some salarymen.
They play mobile games here, and that market is growing extremely fast. And that is a fact based on statistical data.
I can only see Arseland and start thinking of a seas and mountains of asses.
Ah right hmm... If you do that, is it the controllers that distinguish it from PSVR and Oculus?
Tech seems solid, but I'm not sure about their business strategy.
15ft is wayyy too much in Japan, Korea, HK and Singapore. These are huge markets for tech. Strange that it is HTC that builds these, usually Taiwanese companies understand space requirements of other island or peninsula nations.
Maybe they are developing this for Western and mainland Chinese audiences?
Not quite sure about the strategy here. I'm sure they have identified their niche through market research. If they haven't done their homework, they w...
Vive can forget Japan altogether. There's not enough space around here. And this is a market of 130 million people where purchasing power and latest consumer technology comes together. Yet, Vive is as hardsell as Kinect is. So yea, PSVR is pretty much the only VR solution here that could sell. Oculus would be ok, but nobody uses tower PCs around here.
Mmm... copy pasta...
For me must have titles:
FFXV (maybe PC version if I get a good bonus and a GTX 1080)
Nier: Automata (Drakengard 3 was excellent, but technically a mess)
The Last Guardian
Dark Souls III (maybe PC version)
Gravity Rush 2 (gotto play the first one's remake too)
Tekken 7
Odin Sphere
Star Ocean 5 (bad:characters/dialogue, good: gameplay/world/music)
Persona 5 (don't like the high school stuff, but megaten &l...
