Same here. Bloodborne was the only game that could hold my attention, just like other Souls games.
All the GTAs, Fallout 3-4, Elder Scroll 3-5, and Xenoblades can't hold my attention. I'm tired of running, driving and riding a horse or whatever in these games. It's cool when you do it the first time and see the scenery and listen to the music, but it gets old really fast.

Eurogamer and Gametrailers are the best reviewers in my mind and their GOTY and best RPG choices are the same mine. Maybe that's why I like them... :P

Let's hope we get a renaissance period with VR and NX. PS4 might be closer to PS2 if it gets more PS4-only exclusives developed ground-up for the system. This Vita+PS4+PS3 version crap that Japanese developers are doing is not good (looking at Exist Archive and Star Ocean 5). Yeah, and Xbox will be dead with Wii U very soon...
What evolution!
FFVI had five times more magics, was still cutting-edge audio-visually and revolutionary in terms of gameplay and narrative. It also had two dozen characters, four playable characters at once, no auto-bs-npc modes (except for cool guest characters!) and gazillion times more interesting narrative and atmosphere from the first ever released pictures to the actual real experience.

Yeah and realistically like 1% of the emulator users own the said games.
I'd rather just get the original developers work on remasters where they can have the their vision enhanced in a way they see fit. I don't like altering a game's visuals by myself, because I feel it ruins the artistic vision of said game.
I'm actually an advocate for remasters. If a remaster is like ten dollars, it's great value to have, especially on a cloud library...

I think it's not about Nintendo putting BC to NX because it's a nice feature to have or a tradition, but because they want Wii U software to sell more.
They invested a lot of time and energy to those Wii U titles and nobody is buying them.
They should have just gone with the route of Dragon Quest remakes, like Dragon Quest V on PS2 and Dragon Quest VII on 3DS. That's the way to make a remake.
We don't want flashy graphics, action based combat and episodic content. We want more dungeons, extra characters, more summons, new gameplay systems on top of the original materia system and more bosses.
This kind of remake should have been handled with extremely cool 2D backgrounds with added anim...
Very seldom do games get delayed at this stage for a reason none other than 1) it needs graphical optimization, or more likely 2) the content overall is bad and they try to save it by doing some last minute changes.
I suspect both. The game has 6/10 and 7/10 written all over it, sadly. Star Ocean 2 is one of my favorite games ever. Third one was good, too. Fourth... well, the story, characters, voice-overs, dialogue ... pretty much everything but music, fighting and RPG syste...
Yeah a bit over 24% is almost 1/4 of the size. So yeah, it is certainly a bit more than "slightly".
I'm thankful for NG4, because it makes life worth living.
PS4 in Japan:
-lower energy consumption (electricity is really expensive here)
-used games are in top notch condition and at 10-30% price within 3-6 months after the initial release
-easier to install (apartments here are super small)
-used consoles are in top notch condition and at 40-60% of the full price
