For me it's the same. Open world games are too long and expansive for me. GTA V is probably the only one I finished, and I've played Morrowing, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas, Batman Arkham City etc.
I can easily finish narrow open-world games (semi-open world) like Dark Souls, Demon's Souls, Bloodborne, MGS V, Xenosaga, Shenmue, Witcher 1/2, the two new Xcoms and Civ games etc.
Not sure why this is. Maybe it's ...
Because it's system is based on Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen :D
What do you expect from a 5400rpm cheapo drive?
My Samsung 850 Evo is 3x - 4x faster than the stock hdd on Pro. Everything loads up in seconds, including Xcom 2, Dark Souls III and Bloodborne. Only 500gt drive, but I've got no download data limits so it is more than enough (256gt would have been enough, but I got greedy).
Fuck this article. Make the investment and you got a super fast PC for $500-$550.
Edit: I meant that by puttin...
Please everyone answer this questionnaire, it's a great chance to influence Sega Japan!!
I put Shenmue 1 & 2 full remasters there myself. Panzer Dragoon Saga and Skies of Arcadia would be great, too.
Oh yeah! I love my pro to bits! With a good SSD it works as good as any PC with GTX 970 or so and that's with the price of one GPU. Plus the HDR and interesting 4K scaling options. I've tested The Last of Us, Uncharted 4, Ratchet & Clank, Xcom 2 on a 1080p display and can easily say it is worth it. Cost me only $270 to upgrade as I sold my base PS4. I did put a nice Samsung 850 EVO 500gt in it tho ($150 here in Japan). The loading times are amazing. It's almost instant with Bl...
Planning to buy KS8000 just after Chrismas on sale when I move to a new place. Already got Pro and Last of Us and Uncharted running on higher resolutions and details, but can't wait to see HDR + 4K!
Just sold my PS4 and put the $170 I got for it towards PS4 Pro. Whole upgrade cost me $270 + 150$ SSD 500gt drive. I'm set for a faster, prettier and snappier gaming! :) No need for $3000 PC!
Ps. 2.53x performance plus tweaked GPU techniques is not a small upgrade.
You are right! It was published by Sony! Apologies.
Hopefully this means Bloodborne and DS II and DS III Pro patches!!
The only real-time combat in RPGs I like is the one in Souls' games. I'd love to see Final Fantasy with that kind of combat... I do like the teleport feature now though, it's really cool after watching Kingsglaive and part of the story.
A great list! I would add Darkest Dungeon there in the mix.
Yeah but you can't play Uncharted of Ratchet & Clank on that setup and have to pay $3K for box instead of $400. Plus, if you trade in your PS4 you get prolly $150 back, so you are essentially paying $250 for the upgrade. With the rest $2750 you can get a nice Samsung 65" TV and it will display HDR which is not widely available on PC in games. So yeah, it's comparing apples and oranges. PS4 Pro's version of 4K is not fully native, sure I admit that, but it comes pretty clo...
Has anyone here seen the movie? It's on Japanese Hulu and I'm wondering if it's worth it. Drama might be a better option for this franchise, as long as the scenes are toned down a bit in their "dramatics".
Does anyone know that if I put an HDD into my new PS4 pro that has been updated with the firmware and is filled with games and saves, that if I actually need to download the games again etc? Can't I just put the HDD in there and that's it?
Your closet doesn't count.
Bought Uncharted 4, Dark Souls III, Ratchet & Clank and XCom 2 at launch this year. Just wanted to experience them immediately, particularly Dark Souls III. Will hopefully re-experience them with PS4 Pro in a week or so again. Also, will probably buy The Last Guardian, FFXV (thinking which version is the best, the Eng or Jpn version...) and Ryu Ga Gotoku 6 (Yakuza 6) at launch day. I do pick up lot of stuff on sale, but as a pretty hardcore gamer, I want to experience games as soon as pos...
Bought the same SSD, but 500gt, for PS4 Pro. I will probably first transfer all the saves to it from my old ps4 and in the background download games to it so it is ready to go when I insert it in the Pro. Did you have time to test before and after the loading times etc? I wonder how the V-nand etc. if at all on PS4 pro, probably just get 500mb read/write speeds at best, but it is still enough.
Have anyone confirmed yet if KS7000 or KS8000 will actually have 24ms or so under Game mode WITH HDR 10-bit?
I'm trying to find out the best 4K gaming tv at 65" with HDR 10-bit and native 2160p panel.
There's quite nothing like a technilogical miracle in the world!
When a Witcher 3 creator says their new game is badass, I'm listening.
