Is it just me or is the UI much more snappier, particularly on PS Store? Maybe putting everything in two folders helped, only five icons on the main menu. Can't wait to see how fast the UI is on PS4 Pro with an SSD drive!
@darthv72
Why would Sony create a hybrid in 2020 or so when you have 5G available and you can finally start streaming PS Now (including now PS4, PS3, PS2, PSX + Vue) with PS5?
They are extremely smart in creating the PS Now infrastructure, well, now. It is truly going to shine with 5G. A true digital service with everything Playstation streaming to any of your devices. Home experience uncompromised with 4K/8K HDR screen and a full-on customized box with l...
You don't need to do the harder level side missions, I didn't any of them, or maybe only one or two mandatory ones to proceed with the story.
I think it's a masterpiece in many ways. I don't also accept the criticism that it doesn't have an ending. I think it was the game's style from the beginning not to have too much directed content thrown at you and it had plenty of important plot points covered for the series. The codecs reveal plenty as well. I...
While I think stockpicking is extremely difficult, I think gaming stocks are some of the easiest ones if you understand the market and have been following it for 30 years like me (since I was 4 I've been playing games...). Index tracking ETFs are still safer, though (at least in theory).
EDIT: It's actually 6% down for today now...
Why don't you first ask the question: What is a game and where is it distributed?
You can start with "type of platform": Mobile games, handheld, console, PC etc. Once that has been defined, you can move on to the location: Asia (most players in the world), Europe, North and South America, Middle-east etc.
Once you've got these two down and defined, you can start asking about what is a gamer and what they prefer. Off the bat, I'd pred...
Because I want to go all in or nothing. Native 4K 60fps in ALL games locked for 2-4yrs is what I'd need. That's the console cycle time nowadays anyways.
In where? In the US? So what? PS4 sold globally much better than Xbox One, not that I care what sells and most. But I do care about news publishing standards. This is a Norwegian website, why would the US be a focus here? Particularly without mentioning it in the title. Very misleading.
It's also an upgrade to ppl that do not want a gaming pc with a new ecosystem. There are two reasons for me not to buy a good SLI gtx 1080 ti setup in January:
1) with a new ecosystem (steam & gog) I'd have to buy games again + no exclusives
2) price - I'd rather invest the money
I didn't know there's a Skull of Satan publicly available for game creation. The things you learn everyday!
Without a "crunch" every now and then nothing exceptional gets done in life. Don't cater to your work life balance if you want to exceed expectations. People who push themselves to limits achieve the most. This is also true in history, particularly in wartime.
This is the truth in business, truth in creative arts. The best people push themselves to the edges of sanity to achieve something no one ever has.
Could you kindly let me know if the framerate is better and has the screen tearing been eliminated? I might get an Xbox One Slim for this, or maybe Scorpio would work even better next year...
Thanks!
Just bought it now on PSN US Store (living in Japan, one day ahead), and hoping to play this tomorrow after work. It was a bit of an impulse purchase, cuz I loved the original and Enemy Unknown / Enemy Within to bits. Saw it on Steam for half the price, but hoping that PS4 Pro gets a patch (fps to 60 or resolution to 1800p etc.)
Off topic: After seeing PS Pro quickly at TGS live on 4K HDR TV, I decided not to buy a 3000usd PC, but keep everything on Playstation Ecosystem. I...
If you are really a home theater guy, I'm sure you can afford $500 UHD player that will definitely deliver a better picture and sound than any UHD console will in the next few years.
They should create a cheap box with Nintendo exclusives and attach a DS mobile phone with good physical buttons + touch and sell it as a smartphone + console device with an open ecosystem. The box should be their home console device that scales everything to 4K with a good scaling chip and is equal to PS4 standard power. Then all these home console games should work on their smartphone via mobile networks AKA PS Now with built-in tech to prevent lag and only be compatible with the latest 4G n...
For me the best RPGs I saw were:
Persona 5 - I don't like the high school setting, but this game just rocks! (1st and 2nd Persona are still the best...)
Ryuu Ga Gotoku 6 - Yakuza with Kitano Takeshi? Sold.
Nioh - Dark Souls in Japanese demon setting by Team Ninja ooh yeah!
FFXV - Best FF game in years after Reishiki. Looked both fun and deep (in gameplay and story).
Nier Automata - Can't beat Yoko Taro's direction and stories....
Yeah I think Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy Tactics are very much connected to this. Final Fantasy Tactics hints many times of the FFXII times in the past when airships flew in the skies. I think FFXII is the golden age of Ivalice, then comes FFT, and then Vagrant Story. All absolute masterpieces. The only game designer and director who won 40/40 in Famitsu is Yasumi Matsuno in history. And that was when Famitsu was even more critical it is today.
This video doesn't do ANY justice to the game. The way it looked on a HDR 4K TV at TGS yesterday, it was like a different game from this movie. The game looks like a PS3 or even PS4 game at times, the character models and details on them are just amazing. This remaster was sold to me in 5 seconds when I saw it in motion. This is like Tactics Ogre's remake, it is the same game, but with sooo many additions and it looks absolutely fantastic. I hope they have added some extras towards th...
Played the Japanese version on 3DS for a year now. It's super long... but really good and easy to get hooked on. Most of the additions are magnificent, some of them (such as wanting to run even a little bit faster and dodging the monsters) are a bit strange. Dodging monsters in dungeons becomes a game of its own, though! :) My only grip with DQVII 3DS is the monsters visible on map and not being able to skip the battles. Same for Shin Megami Tensei IV, don't like 3D maps over 2D or m...
Day 1!
I just finished it today! I thought it was really good and felt like Dark Souls 1. A nice interconnected map. Liked the story lot too. Good stuff! :)
