It is a buggy mess. Can't get solid frame-times with a 5800X3D, RTX 4090, Nvme drive, 32GB RAM. It has audio problems as well, plenty of bugs, crashing and overall it's just a mess. The more you play, the more you encounter these problems and the more unbearable the tinkering becomes. I played around 8hrs and stopped as I could not get the audio balance right, and the frame-times are a uneven. The amount of tinkering you need to get it working each time you launch it, is just unbearab...

Demon's Souls, Dark Souls and Dark Souls II were the best RPGs on PS3 made by Japanese developers. Everything else just fell short always. Ni No Kuni was a full package, an okayish game as well. Nier and Drakengard III had superb writing, setting and voice acting, however, the performance was a real drag on the gameplay. Traditional RPG-wise I'd actually say 360 had better JRPGs, and think that Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon were the best traditional JRPGs of the era. PS3 Valkyria Chron...

You are a professional complainer.

I liked both the show and game, they are different things and can be appreciated in different ways. I'm also pretty sure the showrunners (including game director) know the best what makes sense for a TV audience. After all, the show stands at 96/100 at Rotten Tomatoes based on 153 reviews, pretty much a perfect score.

Played a few hours already and didn't see any bugs. Ratchet & Clank still is much buggier (reflex, audio, fps, directstorage, clipping, falling bugs and problems still persist with that one.) BGIII feels like the real deal, the Enhanced Edition on launch day. Dunno how the later chapters will be, though! Maybe they can fix them before I reach there, the game is massive and long.

Good! Stay independent. You are striking gold, platinum and diamong with your latest three games. Bought BGIII today and am just about to dive back in. Still in the very beginning, but can already say it is a masterpiece. I didn't think it is possible to up OSII but they did it. A lot of OSIII vibes from BGIII.

Was it really as bad as everyone says? I liked Diablo I and II, but III was unbearable due to the horrible writing, music, atmosphere and the loot system and MMO type structure put me off completely. The Expansion for III was just about bearable.

You can keep your ecosystem! I play games, not ecosystems.

They made the right call! Make sure it is finished when you release it. I'll buy it, and hopefully millions of others will do so too.

I disagree with Frosty here. This "90% of gamers" is just pulled out of your whatever. There is no evidence you can ever present that makes your generalization more than just an opinion took out of thin air.

The biggest gaming group by age is around 30-40 years old, most gamers are female as well. I would presume more than 10% of those read news, and the trial very much took front pages in many of the largest news outlets globally.

Diablo 2 used to have really good loot at the vendors and it was always a pleasure to go and check what kind of upgrades you could do after a solid run. Combined with solid loot you would get from the monsters you slayed, it was a great system. After that, the series has gone downhill. They lost the plot and just crammed too many useless systems and simplified the most interesting aspects and overall just made the whole thing a pointless online game.

No you don't. Larian Studios' writers know exactly how to do origin stories, they are miles ahead of the SE fanfiction level writers of today, except for Yoko Taro's, Naoki Yoshida's and Yuji Horii's teams, which are on par with the best in business.

A lot of people speak about the RT of 4090, but it can also do that at 120fps, which is a game changer. Add a solid HDR VRR display and you are in heaven.

Exactly.

And if PS6 launches in 2028 as the ActivisionBlizzard/MS lawsuit documents revealed, then RDNA4 or at the very best mid-range RDNA5 is what it can use based on AMD's GPU roadmap. RDNA3 flagship is so far behind in path traced scenarios compared to Ada Lovelace, that they certainly won't be able to catch up 4090 with one generation.

Even if PS6 would go for a RDNA5, it would not be the flagship level tech, but heavily cut down chip. Plus...

With the PS5 settings and having the same amount of patches as the original release received in the first three months after release, RTX2070S will perform similarly to a PS5, albeit image quality will be better as DLSS Quality surpassed the IGTI solution Insomniac crafted for the game. Dynamic scaling similarly turned on, it will perform in three months with the same settings the same as a PS5, but with slightly better RT quality and slightly better general image quality.

When Ratchet & Clank games have more RPG elements and systems, and more interesting exploration than the latest Final Fantasy main title, you know something is wrong at Square Enix.

Checked out a few gameplay previews and as a result Fires of Rubicon is ranking up there together with Ratchet PC Baldur's Gate III as most anticipated games of 2023. The sound design was bonkers. Still have the new Zelda to play as well, and need to buy the System Shock remake as well. Going to be a busy rest of the year...

Agreed. Although I do buy Sony's PC releases at launch to support the PC ports, and also From Software games at launch. Rest I will buy at around 30-90% discount. I won't most likely buy Armored Core at launch, though, it does not look like a Miyazaki-style game, but a solid 6 or 7 so far, despite some of the stylistic trailers.

As for Diablo style games, I think Diablo II Resurrection and Grim Dawn will do just fine.

If this works with PS5 AND Steam Link, and the screen is OLED and controller as good as Dualsense, I may buy it for home and on-the-go streaming. This would also be great for someone who wants to stream from a gaming laptop when on the go, but does not want to have the laptop on your lap (the irony!).

When I'm traveling for work and sleeping somewhere else than home, I don't want to have gaming laptop on my lap as it gets loud and hot and it's hard to balance it...

I'm not hardcore about environment, but I don't support hard plastic if I can avoid it.

I guess when you say environmental concerns the first thing people think is some sort of a hippie with a sign. I'm highly educated (and know how our seas are full of plastic, and humans are filled with microplastic, and our food is full of it as well), in a very solid job, and where I live, people have houses full of solar panels on both roofs and their yards and an EV or hy...

You can vote with your wallet alright, but I'll only buy the digital version due to environmental concerns and also will be enjoying the game from day 1.
