Yeah he always just complains. When you point it out, he just starts complaining about you next.
The Zodiac edition was absolutely superb. Top 5 final fantasies, up there with 4, 6, 7 and Tactics.
I wonder which one has better controls or screen. Genuine question.
Just bought this on Steam due to this patch and 55% discount.

DLSS certainly lowers power consumption. Also, the numbers such as the 4090 at 450W does not tell you everything, most of the time the GPU stays between 200-350W in gameplay, which is not too different from the highest end GPU of 10 years ago. Plus, today you can undervolt + OC GPUs by a good margin to keep stock performance while utilizing 80% of the power limit.
You can make the 4090 extremely power efficient and keep 90% of its performance at 320W.

Always welcome European Turn-Based cRPGs !! They know their stuff and the AA stuff is typically very solid. Baldurs Gate 3, Age of Wonders and Disco Elysium come to mind.
Fully agreed. To me the atmosphere, pacing, gameplay and music are all better than in the remake.
Yes, it is better than the remakes by miles.
Yes, alongside with Vagrant Story. Playing FFT, then Vagrant story and finally FFXII is a bliss. Deepest lore and best stories ever made in video games.
2.8bn in 2023 revenue. I bet that game also has a very high profit margin, so it must be a bit of a cash flow cow for them.
Yup! Dragon's Dogma 1 also needs to be played, lost the save 70% in the game, so gotto do it all over again, unfortunately. Maybe in 2-3 years they have fixed the second one!
In the meanwhile, Nixxes did it the first time ever: Forbidden West is fully playable without massive bugs or problems. Compared to Ratchet and Spiderman, that was a very good port, and does not feel as rushed.
Did they fix the frame-rate and pacing on PC?
I don't hate it. I just didn't like the Remake, and think the original was great. They changed it too much, and the story went to really silly places. It is very Kingdom Hearts like, convoluted, not focused and pacing was horrible. Side quests were also not interesting.
I absolutely loved FF games until XII (with the exception of XI) and XIV is super good as well. FFT is possibly my favourite, because the story was just so good and optional content great. Just can...
Taxes are 40%, depending on country of sale, fixed costs, operating costs, capital costs, license costs for all platforms etc. No, they are not pocketing 400M USD after costs, probably a very low double digit %. And from that % they need to fund their next project for years and years.
Profit and Revenue are two entirely different things.
Isn't Rebirth full of side quests that have nothing to do with the main quest or are mostly fillers and just markers on the map and kill x of this and get x gil? I can't do that busy work in games, it kills the fun, and I need to use my time much better in life.
The original had zero filler content, and was extremely well paced and still had open-world elements from the get go, no need to pay twice or thrice for it. I thought the original was superior to the Remake ...
In the last two years I've been burned so many times on PC releases that I learned finally to wait 6-12 months. I let them games cook a bit longer and the community and devs to fix the games, and pick em up from sale. That's also when the hype and exposure online to the games have subsided (everyone's always about the latest new shiny thing) so it feels like a more new experience.
Done with beta testing PC games. Nor am I interested in the "exploration sta...
They do have the porting framework ready this time, though. You are right, they do need to touch more aspects and optimize more, but I'm sure they can get it up and running on PC in no time and start working their way up from there.
I'm in the same camp at 42, extremely busy at work with a career and a family to take care of. The newest, and most delightful member takes so much time that I basically have 1 hour of my own time in the evening, and during weekends maybe 2 hours in the evening. During that precious time, if I keep troubleshooting PC games, spend time on loading screen, or chase some markers on a map or just am not generally doing something awesome and inspiring all the time, I don't game at all. And ...
I enjoy the SMT core series much more vs the Persona series. I like how it is much darker and more hardcore as an RPG. I've played all of them through and they never disappoint.
