Strange to see so many disagrees for stating pricing details that are quite easy to verify.
Amusing to see a wannabe grammar nazi fall flat on his face though.

Bought. Think it's the first box game I've bought to actually play on the console since.... Halo 5?
I'm still not likely to touch it in preview, but happy to support The Behemoth.
RRP for a Sony game is usually £49.99.
3rd party games from EA/Activision usually £54.99
Nintendo aren't so far off. The bigger problem is that their games actually stay around the RRP for almost half a century.
When did you last turn on your Wii u?
They don't reference it by name often, but it is still current for the Xbox. MS talk about active Xbox Live accounts in lieu of sales figures all the time, and they aren't talking about Gold. They include the free services (silver and Xbox on Windows PC/phone). They've pretty much never discussed Gold subscriber numbers.
@Why O Why Fable was entirely online focused, 4vs1 asynchronous multiplayer. Project Spark was a community driven creation tool. Phantom Dust was shown as a duelling/arena game. Fable and Spark were also F2P, which Microsoft seem to have gone cold on.
The only cancelled game that may have had a single player emphasis is Scalebound, and even then we haven't really seen any evidence that it was story driven. It was the co-op, PSO-style loot grind that had my interest. The...
@Razzer I'm not sure who you are quoting, but the article isn't talking about 3rd party publishers. Besides which, COD is a peer to peer game supported by Activision's matchmaking servers. It's actually ridiculous that both MS and Sony keep that behind their pay wall.
Edit: Aha I see the quote references a comment above.
Did you have any experience in game or software dev before? What engine are you using?
He's almost right though Septic. Except what he calls "greed" a normal person might call "strategy", but whatever.
Microsoft provide software and services. Manufacturing consoles and funding games fits into that strategy because they want as many people to connect to their services as possible. They have no genuine interest in selling discs, it is all a means to get people connected.
People laugh when Microsoft say they will talk...
Eh? Almost all of Microsoft's games include single player.
Shouldn't the question be "Why don't Sony provide multiplayer modes in more of their games?". We do pay them for access to multiplayer after all...
Not just that. They take "Gold" subscriptions because they can, but "Silver" accounts are valuable too as their primary objective is to have people connected to their service. Having somebody connected to Xbox Live (or any other MS service) via console, PC, or even phone is the equivalent of having someone sit in your retail store, staring while you feed them adverts.
People criticise Microsoft for touting "Xbox Live engagement numbers", but it...
Talented devs aren't exclusive to the UK, and unfortunately it is a relatively expensive place to run a studio.
Precisely
There there Christopher, I forgive you. Just keep trying your best.
Quantum Break was fairly ambitious. Recore was... er... not so ambitious, but it was new. They threw their weight behind Sunset Overdrive, Ryse, and Titanfall as well which were fresh IPs even if they didn't own them. They dabbled in things like Crimson Dragon and Ori too. Scalebound has obviously been cancelled, but pretty safe to say that wasn't the intention from the start. Sea of Thieves is new too.
I don't think it is all that accurate to say they don't...
Lol the dodgy solder in the 360 cost Microsoft $1billion. What kind of clowns would do that on purpose?
Also, those 3 or 4 series must have been risks once...
Yup. Phil Spencer isn't a man at all, he is 50% android, 40% unicorn, and 10% potato. Well spotted.
They're doing a remake of the original Phantom Dust?
Yeah! Us morons are unshakable!
No wait....
Oh balls!
Dude you're grammar are terrible,
