This game is rigged, the AI cheats big time. I always end up sitting naked and losing all my money.

You're still missing what I said Sully. I was quite clear that "I don't expect (or petition) for that to happen, and I understand the reasons it won't".

In your replies since then you imply that it is overly obvious that someone with a good PC would want to run games on it (like you wanting to be a millionaire). A PC version is something that anyone with a good PC would want. It isn't "always some lame pc only gamer"

Do...

I guess it is hard to understand after all. I will lower my expectations of the community here.

I'd prefer that every game had a console tailor made to run it.

Want to play Uncharted 4? Fire up the Uncharted 4 Station. God of War 4? God of War 4 station. It'd be greeeeaaat they'd sell so many consoles and people would spend so much money, it's win-win for everybody.

What, so if there were no exclusives then all the publishers would just rollover and leave us with 1 new COD game every year? Competition would be as fierce as ever.

Sony/MS/Nintendo may need to find new ways to compete on the hardware side. That'd be a good thing.

That's not quite accurate. It is usually gamers that have a PC that could run the game better than a console. Owning the consoles as well doesn't really alter the perspective much.

I own consoles and PCs, and for me personally it'd be great if every game got a PC release. I don't expect (or petition) for that to happen, and I understand the reasons it won't. Still, it'd be great for me if it did and that really shouldn't be hard to understand.

So... if you don't like gaming on a PC, how does Microsoft releasing their games on the PC as well as the Xbox factor into your decision making process what-so-ever?

If you're just saying "I don't like Microsoft's exclusive games enough to buy an Xbox" then you've kinda missed the point.

"Not everyone can afford multiple gaming devices".

Are you trying to defeat your own argument? Those are precisely the people that get burned by exclusivity....

"No value in the hardware". Aint that the depressing truth.

3331d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

But hyperthetically, if the movie industry did have exclusives then the likes of Samsung and LG might be inclined to pour big bucks into funding movies, and they just might have funded some modern classics that we'll never know.

I'm don't disagree with you btw, just pointing out what I consider to be the one consumer benefit of platform exclusives. Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo invest significant funding into games, and if they didn't then I don't necessarily ...

I wonder what the hottest article on N4G is today? Oh good lord, it is a massive PS4 fanboy circle jerk. And moldybread has voluntarily stepped into the middle of it.

What a mess :(

Microsoft did sign them. Bungie were very much a Microsoft first party studio. Bungie departed MS by mutual consent, on amicable terms because they simply didn't want to make Halo any more.

Then Activision offered them loads of money to make a game just like Halo, and for some reason they signed away their next 10 years.

Valve have been pretty clear about FPS games being the wrong approach for VR. It is that belief that is the reason Vive has such an emphasis on roomscale.

Something in the L4D franchise is not impossible, but I'd be surprised if it looks like the game you are envisioning.

None of what you said changes the fact that they are the worst publisher out there for microtransactions and DLC practices, and up there with the worst for base pricing.

None of that changes the fact that COD games and Destiny rely heavily on peer to peer connections, while even EA and Ubisoft host games properly.

Activision stink. They're very good at what they do, but they stink.

@Rainslacker are you saying that Sony were so short-sighted with the PS4 that they wrote APIs that makes it really hard to run the games on future iterations of the hardware? You think the PS5 won't be able to play PS4 games because Sony use a poorly conceived API?

Pull the other one.

@Rainslacker I think that Boost Mode simply maintains the higher clock speeds of the hardware, yes.

I also think the mirrored GPU "like a butterfly butterfly" illustration that Mark Cerny gave has been taken far too literally. The Pro does not have a "Dual stack GPU, which has new hyper-threading processes".

Having said that, I'm just on a forum speculating based on the limited facts that are available. I don't pretend to be an...

So generous! Not like that evil Microsoft, who are always trying to tempt the innocent and vulnerable with Xbox bundles so that they can extract money from them.

Nobody looking dumb here buddy. I can't wait to get all that cutting edge Xbox One tech in my PC later this year.

I follow GPU tech news pretty, and no I won't be visiting that Mr X nonsense you are getting your information from. Thanks.

PS Phil was referring to x86-64 architecture.

Urgh Gamepad. Hope they give it a fully featured Touch revamp at some point, like they did for The Climb.
