It wasn't the character or game that was weak, it was just mistimed. With the PlayStation gaming (and gamers) had started to grow up. It was the gran turismos, tekkens, and final fantasy kinda games that propelled the Playstation and expanded the market in whole new directions. Crash never really gained much traction, and certainly never became equivalent to Mario/Sonic.

Should have just got it replaced. The 360 was a great console for the first 3 years or so, when it was smashing out games like Gears, Bioshock, Halo 3, Lost Odyssey, and Mass Effect. Nosedived after that imo, but those were some good times.
3D at home is dying (virtually none of the upcoming 2017 sets offer it), but if you enjoy the feature and have the spare change then pick up an LG E series (or C series if you're OK with the curve). The 3D is utterly sublime.
Don't be put off by passive 3D. Active shutter was fine on 1080p sets because it was the only option for a full 1080p 3D image, but it loses that advantage at 4k. A passive set drops no detail, and blows Active out of the water in terms of cros...
It is also a pretty small number compared to the games in development (and already available) for the Rift and Vive, but whatever. The number of good games is more important, so hopefully at least a handful of them will make it to that lofty standard.
Septic is a tosser.
Comparison is inevitable and reasonable. Getting upset that more than one good game exists is hilarious.
I'm impressed you managed to decipher his reply at all.
Deflecting what? The article is nonsense, the vast majority of devs choose the PC (if you ignore mobile).
Of the relatively few console-only devs, I doubt PC piracy is a prominent reason. There are loads of more important factors.

That makes no sense. I've never had any ambition to be a cartoon mascot for a console.
Lol Crash was a weak attempt at a mascot, from an ancient era where Sonic and Mario were valued and revered.
Camping grounds? OK I'm wet.
"Choose champion and weapon" raises a red flag though.
Whilst good, neither of those are arena games. Doom has a stab at multiplayer, but misses. By some distance.
Now that Oculus are seemingly quite open to letting owners of other hardware access the software I don't see a big problem.
Have you played much Robo Recall? It's great fun, with any luck it'll get a good modding community and be a top game for ages.

8 months qualifies as "soon" once you've reached the ripe old age of about 14 I think.

OK, moving on.
I still have a working 360 with no HDMI! I wonder if it's worth anything? lol

I had 4 Xbox 360s, thanks to 3 lots of RRoD. I only ever bought 1 though.

Same. Phenomenal set, I literally can't pick a fault with it.
