Ryse isn't all bad.
Steam user reviews
Recent: Very positive
Overall: Very positive
It does have boobs in it though, which does usually skew Steam reviews towards the positive (lol).
^^ and charge people a fee to play it online, and release DLC, and include micro-transactions.
I'm not saying Sony are unusually evil or cruel, but the days of "put a game in a box and put the box on a shelf in a store" are long gone. Very much the exception and not the rule.
At least they generally leave single player campaigns intact. It seems nothing is sacred in multiplayer games these days. No coincidence that MS focus so heavily on th...
Driveclub had them, Uncharted had them... and some people class The Order 1886 as a microtransaction in itself ;)
MS are worse though. It is pretty hard to list MS games that don't have microtransactions. Maybe Quantum Break? I haven't actually played it yet, but it is hard to see how transactions would fit there. Nothing would surprise me though.
I have heard that a drink or 2 can help some people overcome VR nausea, so that's a bonus. This is still a shit idea though.
Explain the difference then?
Mid-gen console or next gen console. Does the label make any difference what-so-ever?
Somehow I don't think Sony are planning to literally stick a PS4 with PSVR into an arcade environment. Give them more credit.
I think it currently sits at approximately 0 sales globally. Not entirely sure if that is 0 shipped or 0 sold-thru though, those Microsoft cats are shady!
Provoking discussion shouldn't be a problem tbh, but fanboys will be fanboys. As far as I can see the article doesn't even have a single advert displayed, so I wouldn't categorise it alongside the Gamingbolts and ThisGenGamings of the world.
In your original comment you were talking about exclusives and pricing, which is fair point, but you also heavily alluded to sales determining the winner. In your reply to Starchild you went all in on quality=sales, terming sales as "votes".
I was just pointing out a big contradiction to that. It is pretty hard to argue that the PS4 is a better console than the PS4 Pro.
You don't make the rul... Oh wait, I see you are a King yourself. I humbly acknowledge your decree!
You could argue that all they really did was confirm the worst case scenario among all the speculation that was out there. People spoke about Vega, it has Polaris. People spoke about Ryzen, it has Jaguar. People spoke about SSDs, no indication that's the case either.
BUT we have a clearer picture of what is in it now, and Microsoft managed to show that picture in a positive light.
@AnubisG So.... the base Playstation 4 is a better console than the Playstation 4 Pro? The mind boggles.
Not even overclocked in terms of the GPU really. It is more "not as severely down-clocked as usual".
I wonder how effective that blower is at cooling quietly.
What happens quarterly? That's a pretty disparate list of things Microsoft have released or done, I don't know what point you are trying to make.
BAM! Polygon straight in there with the obvious. Strange relationship they have with the Sony fanbase.
Scorpio specs were never going to "fix everything" for that matter. It simply sets the Xbox at the top of the console pile in terms of power. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm not sure what better result you can expect from reveal of the spec?
Dry your eyes mate. The Xbox One S wasn't supposed to change things any more so than the PS4 Slim.
It will cost more than the Pro, but not by any staggering margin. The tech is from the same family, MS have just out-engineered Sony to push it harder.
"Overwhelmingly positive" sakura spirit games beg to differ.
I'm not knocking on Ryse though, I actually like it.
