@Darth there were rumours of EA Access moving onto PS4, but not rumours that the service would stop on the Xbox afaik?
Note that MS made no mention of EA (or Activision or Ubisoft) in the list of publishers on board with this service. They may struggle to go it alone though if wider services like this do take off.
It was never intended as a middle finger at Playstation fans. They were trying to talk to someone else entirely.
Streaming games does not compare to playing them locally, just as streaming video content is a long way short of the quality you get from a local copy.
Never say never though. Connections will keep advancing and streaming services should obviously get better and better as that happens.
@Overload That is an example of an additional service under the Xbox umbrella. An additional service that has already been announced. Well done you.
Come on, we all know you are alluding to Microsoft pulling out of the console space in part of your on-going FUD campaign. That is what you do. Almost as well as you predict the past.
Before Sony added the multiplayer paywall they pretty much had this. Sure, PS Plus has slighty different methodoloy and terms for delivering and cycling the catalogue, but in essence the 2 services are not far apart at all.
@Overload that hardly counts as a prediction. Xbox transitioned into a service ages ago. I have the app open on my PC right now.
Hopefully this game pass evolves into a Netflix/Spotify style subscription service one day. Unfortunately I don't see it offering big new releases any time soon, but once some competing subscription services start to appear we should see some content wars and some top value services. Here's hoping anyway.
There is huge potential for things like Second Life and PS Home in VR.
I'd suggest checking out VRChat, which is available already and has some really cool features. However, there is definitely still room for games with lighter creation tools (VRChat uses Unity).
I dunno, I have my suspicions about Foxtrot...
Sorry, what do I need to research? You haven't corrected anything I said, so... what part of my post was innaccurate?
For the Switch Ninty prioritised price and power consumption over bandwidth and power. I don't much like the switch, but DDR4 is a full generation ahead of the memory in the PS4 Pro and Xbox One S (which incidentally has a much higher peak memory bandwidth than 68.3 GB/sec).
So just to be clear here; you're saying that you do say stupid things on purpose because you feel other people say stupid things? And what, you felt left out?
@Godmars you say that like PC gamers as a whole are lamenting Nioh not coming to PC. That would obviously be a stupid thing to say if that's what you meant to imply. The infamous petition represents less than 0.01% of Steam gamers, let alone PC gamers as a whole.
But I'm sure that's not how you meant it as you try not to say stupid things. Right?
They're intrinsically linked. The controllers are tracked, afterall.
You've changed, Santa. And not for the better.
I like PC gaming. So what? Wanna fight about it? I'll fight you. I'll fight you all!
For the amount he spent on a PS4 Pro, I could have bought enough colourful boxes to build a way more impressive fort.
Wouldn't play games as well obviously, but that isn't a valuable attribute.
Move controllers =/= mobility.
I love roomscale VR, but I really don't see it being part of VR's mainstream future. It just isn't realistic to expect people to have a room cleared out, so that audience will never reach the critical mass required for a higher budget games.
Standing, turning, and using hands are all here to stay, but VR needs someone to solve the locomotion issue ASAP.
That'd make her the 2nd most successful ginger of all time. After Garfield.
I've been only for the last 4863hours, no problem's here. Running out of things I want to watch on Netflix though.
PS Plus is a sub based rental service. That is for some reason mandatory if you want to play multiplayer games.
