What do MS do differently across the pond? I know the Design Labs controllers are US only, but wasn't aware of much else being different.

I feel your pain. But not really.

It isn't 3841x2180. Keep trying.

Hmmmm. This isn't as fun as I had hoped. Still, at least nobody has been dumb enough to bring up the cinematic aspect ratio and think they are smart, right?

1620p is not 75% of 4k. Assuming the same aspect ratio, it is more like 58%.

I reckon he is trying to buy Chris Charla's second hand running shoes, and thinks that speaking up for ID@Xbox publicly might win some favour and strengthen his position in bartering for a good price.

I might be wrong, but either way I think we can agree that there must be some ulterior motive whenever someone says anything positive about Microsoft.

ID@Xbox was announced in August 2013, following on from Xbox Live Arcade and Xbox Live Indie Corner on the 360. I don't even remember Sony having an Indie initiative on the PS3, yet you reckon Microsoft were disinterested until Sony came along? How do you figure that?

Right.... Everything is about Scorpio. Of course.

Freesync 2 isn't tied to HDMI 2.1. In fact it doesn't require HDMI at all.

If it tops out at 60hz it is unlikely to have the adaptive sync range for freesync 2 though, and this article doesn't actually confirm it supports HDR either.

You seem to be contradicting your own argument, which is quite funny.

"Scorpio can't be compared to a PC cos it is less powerful, but everyone knows PCs need loads of extra power to perform like a console!"

Bottlenecks don't apply to theoretical peak performance numbers. That doesn't really detract much from their significance, though real world performance obviously matters more.

There isn't really cause to doubt the numerical advantage won't apply in the real world when the systems are so similar (unlike for example, comparing teraflops between AMD and NVidia GPUs that don't really play out in gaming).

This isn't a deep dive at all. I could have asked my 5 year old for this analysis, he's been learning about relative measurements and could tell me "which numbers are bigger" without all the advertising.

Gamingbolt is such a worthless website.

BOOM Microsoft strike back! Take that, Nier, Persona, Horizon, Nioh, and Yakuza!

I'd say the fight is about even right now. The generation could go either way at this point.

Yes it was... Well I guess you could say it wasn't a game, but it was free to play.

Shutting that down was even worse, as people invested more than just money into it. It was a creation tool, and all the projects created by the community went down with it.

@Princess you may not be whining, but plenty of people here seem to be.

With regards to the dishonest/incorrect marketing, I haven't really seen much from Microsoft to be honest. I did a quick google search on 'Windows 10 Game Mode' to see if it turned anything up, but it seems to just be a few websites reporting on the feature when it was added to the insider update.

I did find this one 3211d ago 4 agree1 disagreeView comment

In a sense that is worse, as some people will actually have spent some money on it. Unless Sony are refunding or compensating those people?

The game may be no great loss, but scrapping the servers doesn't exactly instill confidence in buying games digitally.

3211d ago 4 agree6 disagreeView comment

Even then, that's the biggest point of "cloud" hosting. It isn't expensive to spin up servers on-demand.

This one must really be a dud they'd prefer to consign to history.

@Princess_Pilfer Game mode seems to be the easiest way. Still not the best way of course, but Windows is used by all sorts of people so it is important to provide "the easiest way" as well.

I don't really see anything to whine about.

Who said "GAMEMODE WOULD BE A HUGE THIS UPDATE..."? Were they actually shouting?
