I heard they have to sign a "soul contract" with Microsoft. Best read the small print.
Yes.
Right, my comment was clearly full of hate. Well spotted.
I don't really think it matters if they call it GT Sport, GT 7, or a new IP altogether. The amount of content will still be compared with the direct competition, and rightly so. Same goes for every other aspect of the game, good or bad.
Send them my way please. My feet are cold.
But the "FULL game for $60" contains a fraction of the content of the $60 edition of Forza 7, which is also presented in "HDR beauty and 60fps", and renders in native 4k to boot. Last I checked it was also a real racing game.
My heart belongs to Project Cars 2, because I love my racing games in VR. For that reason I'd also take GT Sport over Forza 7. I'm also quite adamantly anti-loot box. I just think it is stupid not to recognise the qualities ...
Aawells07 who are you talking to?
If it's me then I'd like to take the opportunity to strongly recommend you buy one of these monitors for your Xbox One X.
(Anyone else reading, please don't take that advice literally. There is a fairly strong chance you'd have a hard time getting freesync to work, and may be entirely wasting your money. Wait for a freesync 2 compatible monitor or TV instead!)
None yet.
Oculus Rift uses HDMI 1.4, and adapters for that are cheap as chips. Xbox One X uses HDMI 2.1, so... Good luck getting a cheap adapter any time soon.
I'll eat my hat if the Xbox One X even let's you select 4k output on an adapter that caps at 4k30. It certainly isn't a given, so this article should not exist until the monitors have been tested and proven to work with the Xbox one x.
There is also a good chance we will see lots of games targett...
Maybe a bit louder and slower?
UT AINT IT FREESYNC 2 NOTJ.... nah, this isn't working.
^^ Oh hello fellow person that knows things. Pleased to meet you.
(Pssst... I've been stuck on N4G for years.... How do we get out of here?)
It supports Variable Refresh Rate (which is what freesync is), as per one of the optional specs of HDMI 2.1.
Having said that, it is grossly irresponsible to publish an article like this without testing the Xbox One X on a single one of these monitors.
Freesync 2 is backward compatible with Freesync 1, and both versions work over HDMI.
However, it'd definitely be best to wait for Freesync 2 monitors in order to take proper advantage of HDR.
Freesync works fine alongside V-sync. You get all the benefits of adaptive sync within the supported range of the monitor. V-sync prevents the frames from exceeding the range, and kicks in if the frames drop below to prevent tearing.
I couldn't say for certain that it will be as effective on the Xbox implementation though. It'll be interesting to see how worthwhile adaptive sync is in that space.
Consoles, phones, TVs, and pretty much every other electronic device goes down in price too. I look forward to the day they're all gone.
Ball-in-a-cup anyone?
The new dash interface coming at the end of this year looks ace, and the game that Respawn are making for Oculus is due for release in 2019.
I don't think Facebook are quite so ready to call it quits.
Get the tray tool and supersample if your GPU can handle it. It doesn't increase the resolution, but it does provide a noticably crisper and smoother image.
The Microsoft mixed reality headset coming from Samsung is worth keeping an eye on too.
You heard that from a speculative Sony fan boy. Find out who it was, and block them.
UCForce. You're doing OK, but you could use some training in how and when to use the reply button :p
Yeah! Pesky kids and their being better at games than me... Learn your place!
Hey, if you want to chance your arm on one of these then be my guest.
Or wait for a proper freesync 2 screen, and enjoy low latency HDR, extended sync range, and low framerate compensation. No skin off my nose either way.
