Just be grateful there isn't a PS3 version of Nioh. If there was then Tecmo would probably have ported that version over to the PC. They've got form for that.
Marketing complete. 100% indoctrination achieved.

^^being familiar with the Windows 10 implementation of HDR, it certainly wouldn't come as a surprise if there are challenges in getting HDR to output with the intended colour palette. Having said that, from a user perspective the One S hasn't been any problem at all.
Wouldn't get yourself too excited, he probably misspoke. HDR wouldn't cost 30fps.
Oh UC4 in gameplay looks nowhere near the quality of the cutscenes, even playing on the Pro. I find it hard to believe that anyone that has the game in their home wouldn't see that.
They're very good looking games mind you, but you can't expect the fidelity of the clip we just saw for TLOU2 to be representative of the gameplay. The motion capture alone would be too prohibitively expensive, let alone the technical constraints of the hardware.
If Microsoft spread announcements across all those shows they would end up with approximately 1/3rd of an announcement at each one lol. Probably best they stick to E3.
@Dj not forgetting they funded some other new IP, like Sunset Overdrive, Crimson Dragon, and Ryse. And depending on which story you believe, instrumental in Titanfall as well.
Screamride would be new IP too. Plenty of money poured into Scalebound I'm sure.
Microsoft have certainly tried to establish new IP along the way. They've just done a terrible job of it.
No, almost certainly not. The console doesn't adjust rendering options based on the connected display, it scales/samples to the output resolution.
If you use a 1440p monitor the game will still render at 4k (or 1080p, or 1800p, or whatever native resolution the game is), and it'll scale/downsample to 1440p in much the same way that the console super samples to a 1080p screen.
^^this is a good thing in most scenarios. Console games benefit from fir...
A fan was the difference between me being able to play Dirt Rally, and me feeling sick immediately. I haven't gone back to many other games since getting the fan out, because Dirt Rally is bloody good in VR :)
I think it supports a few locomotion options, including teleportation. The way the view narrows on movement does help with motion sickness to some degree too.
The guy playing must be completely immune to sickness though. Turning like that and going up/down inclines would pretty much knock me out.
Can't say I recall what was announced there, no :)
I always thought of E3, TGS, Gamescom, and more recently PSX as bigger shows for Sony. This PGW was up there in terms of the heavy hitters imo.
The timing was a happy coincidence, but Sony certainly took full advantage of it. I don't recall any previous PGW getting such a show of strength.
@Why o why it really isn't a myth.
Microsoft offer almost no big single player only games, whereas Sony continue to deliver games like Horizon/Detroit/Spider-man/GoW .
Even when Microsoft do focus on a cinematic campaign (Gears of War, Halo), there is still a serious emphasis on the multiplayer component.
By contrast, Sony offer very few games with a serious emphasis on multiplayer, and those that do support it are usually small sc...
I always try to sound sonical. Sonic was one of my favourite characters when i was a kid, he's cool.
Yeah but these are way more enhanced, because the Xbox One X is a lot more powerful than the Pro.
Quality over quantity, right?
I'd be more inclined to call it a 'fairy tale'.
But if software sales are so important, then it makes sense to strive to deliver the best version of multiplatform software, right? Even if the install base doesn't increase, the market share on software sales should to some degree.
If you subscribe to the Donald Trump theory that human life is like a non-rechargeable battery, then every time he has to consider an available option the brainpower spent will shorten his lifespan by a good few seconds. A lot could happen in those last seconds...
The jaggies made it feel more historically accurate.
